Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An 3-amino-5-hydroxy-6,7-dihydro-1[H]-1,2,4-triazepine derivative of formula I or II: (R is lower alkyl group).
EXAMPLE: 3-Amino-5-hydroxy-6,7-dihydro-1[H]-1,2,4-triazepine hydrochloride.
USE: Antifungal agents are fungicides, and useful as an intermediate for pesticides, dyes, and medicines.
PROCESS: Aminoguanidine is reacted with acrylonitrile or (meth)acrylate, in a solvent, e.g. a lower aliphatic alcohol or DMF, at 20W80°C, preferably 50W70°C, and the reaction mixture is allowed to cool. The resulting crystals are filtered off to give the compound of formula I or II.
