Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate a necessity of separately providing the excitation power source, by means of supplying an output of the other generator to an excitation circuit of the generator which is intended to be practically operated a line test charge.
CONSTITUTION: When practicing an operation of line test charge by a No.1 generator 1a, with a disconnector 12 "closed" and a disconnector 13 "opened", a bus 2b is connected to the primary side of an excitation power source transformer 3a through a circuit 11. And with a No.2 generator 1b made starting and a rated voltage produced by adjusting a generator voltage setting 16, a stand-by condition is provided with a parallel breaker 8b remaining as opened. On the other hand, the No.1 generator 1a is started in a condition with a parallel breaker 8a previously closed, and the generator voltage is gradually raised from near zero level to the specified voltage by adjusting a line test charging setting resistor 15.
