Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the starting time of an induction motor of load, by mounting a compensator for obtaining output proportional to the currents of a generator in case of the starting of the induction motor, and by applying the output of the compensator to an AVR when starting the induction motor.
CONSTITUTION: If a breaker 6 is made when a generator 1 is operated under a non-load condition, starting currents flow through an induction motor 7 of load while the terminal voltage of the generator suddently drops. When starting currents become not less than set value, an output contact 8b of a current relay 8 is opened, and a compensator 5 gives output proportional to the currents of the generator detected through a current transformer 10 to an AVR4. When the induction motor 7 is started and starting currents become not more than the set value, the output contact 8b of the current relay 8 is closed, and the output of the compensator 5 becomes to zero.
