Abstract

PURPOSE:To scheme to improve the fuel cost of an engine more by suppressing increasing fuel amount in partial cylinder operation even if high loaded state is detected, with the engine which restricts the quantity of used cylinders according to the load. CONSTITUTION:When each cylinder of a multicylinder internal combustion engine, a carburetor 22 is connected. Said carburetor 22 performs fuel increase into an intake pipe 10 through opening and closing a vacuum piston 25, and especially in high loading of the engine, through opening a valve 33. Said operation is performed by the intake pipe negative pressure which is introduced into the upper chamber of the piston 25 through a negative pressure passage 26. In said passage 26, a three- way electromagnetic valve 27 is arranged which switches a vaccuum tank 29 in which intake pipe negative pressure is stored through a check valve 35. Said magnetic valve 27 allows the passage 26 to communicate to the tank 29 when the cylinder is inoperative due to a cylinder quantity restricting circuit 20 and sets a power fuel feeding apparatus 23 inoperative.
