Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the copy images expressed by the minute dots corresponding to dots to be formed with an ordinary method without using any dot screen by changing the relative composition ratio of specific photosensitive layers in the direction along conductive substrate.
CONSTITUTION: A first vapor source 6A comprising putting Se in a crucible and a second vapor source 6B comprising putting Te so as to encircle its circumference are provided in a vacuum chamber. A substrate 1 is so disposed as to oppose to vapor sources 6A, 6B. A screen 7 having a multiplicity of respectively circular openings 8 arrayed longitudinally and cross is disposed between these. By changing the heating temperatures of the vapor sources 6A, 6B, the rates of evaporation of Se and Te are controlled and the vapor deposition bodies wherein the content distributions of Se and Te change in wave form are formed on the substrate 1 in opposition to the openings 8. Hence, the sensitivity distributions of the photosensitive layer become approximately wave form varying periodically regularly in the direction where the openings 8 array in the direction along the substrate 1.
