Abstract
PURPOSE: To separate foreign objects from fine sand and clean it with water by a simple means, by mixing a compressed fluid ejected from a nozzle with fine sand containing foreign objects supplied under the pressure exerted by the compressed fluid and causing the mixture to strike a collision plate.
CONSTITUTION: Fluid A, such as water, is compressed by pump 12, which is compressing device 2, and is sent under pressure to nozzle 3 via pipe passage 11. Then, it is ejected from ejection port 3' of nozzle 3 toward collision plate 10 in ejection chamber 9. At the same time, fine sand B, which contains foreign objects, is sent out from hopper 6 by a fixed amount at a time. After it is sent out from supply port 8' of supply pipe 8, it is compressed by compessed fluid A, which is sent from branching pipe passage 13 of pipe passage 11. As a result, fine sand B is mixed completely with the fluid ejected from nozzle 3 in the neighborhood of ejection port 3' of nozzle 3 and the mixture is ejected toward collision plate 10, and it is separated from foeign objects by the collision energy at this time.
