Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously carry out dehydrating operation safely, by imparting impact force to a material to be treated during transfer of the material to be treated in a transfer passage to dehydrate the same.
CONSTITUTION: A material 7 to be treated fallen and supplied from a hopper 6 is forcedly transferred toward an outlet 3b from an inlet 3a in a transfer passage 3 by injection pressure of air from an air nozzle 4 and, in a dehydrating unit 8, forcedly impinged to a first screen 9 to shake off water adhered to the material 7 to be treated. Because both left and right sides of the first screen 9 are inclined, the material 7 to be treated is scattered to both left and right sides by repelling force generated when said material 7 to be treated is impinged and succeedingly impinged onto a second screen 11 to further shake off water adhered to the material 7 to be treated. In this case, water shaken off by the first screen 9 is recovered by a water collecting plate 10 to be induced to the outside of the second screen 11 through a water collecting groove 10b and discharged through the water discharge port of a cover 12 along with water shaken off by the second screen 11.
