Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease the quantity of circulation of filter media in a titled device using a filter layer made of the granular filter madia by dividing a support of gas inlet side into upper and lower and constituting of plural rotating members, and discharging only the filter media adhering a large quantity of dust.
CONSTITUTION: Gas containing dust that entered a hood 13 from a gas inlet 16 goes into filter media 1 through a support 11c. Dust 2 is collected by inertia force or cohesion hy the filter media, and cleaned gas passes through a hood 14 and discharged from an outlet 17. The filter media on which dust 2 adheres, and thereby increased in draft resistance and pressure loss is removed by rotating the rotating member 11c. The filter media 1 are let fall by the member 11c which is rotated intermittently by a pressure difference detector 30 and a timer, and other filter media corresponding to the quantity of fallen media are supplied from a feeding chute 15. As most of the dust is collected by filter media 1 which are near the gas inlet, filter medium on which dust adheres can be taken out efficiently.
