Abstract

PURPOSE:To let good developing be done always stably irrespective of use environments by maintaining an electrostatic latent image carrier and the turning member for development dipped in developer at above specified temperature in an electrostatic image former. CONSTITUTION:A developing roller 41 which comprises providing an elastic cellular body 44 and screen 45 on the surface of a central roller 43 is dipped and installed in the developer 39 in a liquid vessel 40 and a refresh roller 42 is pressure contacted and disposed to the roller 41. A drum form photoreceptor 17 which is turned about a shaft 35 is installed above the developing roller 41 and the latent images having been formed on the photoreceptor 17 in 36 are developed in a developing device part 22 and are transferred to a transfer material in 37. When in the abovementioned apparatus the temperature of the developer 39 detected with a temperature detecting element 47 becomes lower than the specified temperature, a temperature control circuit 48 operates to supply current to a heating element 4 which then maintains the developer 39 and developing roller 41 at above the specified temperature and at the same time current is supplied to the heating element 49 provided in the revolving shaft 35, whereby the surface temperature of the photoreceptor 17 is kept at least above the temperature of the developing roller 41.
