Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce load for engine by detecting temperature of induced air with temperature sensor and comparing sensed signal with preset signal for discriminating preferentially whether or not the desired temperature is obtainable by only adjusting volume of air exposed to heating members and without driving cooling cycles. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 92 for induced air temperature is equipped and a sensed signal 92a from the sensor 92 is compared with a preset desired temperature signal for discriminating whether the preset desired room temperature is obtainable or not preferentially by only adjusting air volume fed to an evaporator 1 through a damper 3 without activating cooling cycles 10-13. Opening area of the above-described damper 3 may be controlled electrically by a servo-motor 30, for example, and may be detected electrically by a potentiometer 31. A control circuit 9 controls opening and closing of the damper 3 and also connecting or disconnecting of a electro- magnetic clutch 8 in accordance with various input conditions. Thus, operating hours of the cooling cycles may be decreased and thereby load for main engine may be reduced.
