Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a temperature rising in a passenger compartment when an engine driven air conditioner stops its cooling operation by means of an arrangement which compares the temperatures inside and outside of the passenger compartment and switches an air introduction to an air inlet on the side having a lower temperature. CONSTITUTION:A control unit 10 recieves various information e.g. a passenger compartment temperature sensor 21, an outdoor temperature sensor 22, a temperature setter 23, a temperature adjusting damper opening degree sensor 24, a cool air sensor 25, a cooling water temperature sensor 26, a blown air temperature sensor 27 and a throttle valve opening sensor 28 together with many other information. The control unit 10 operates according to predetermined programs to determine whether a solenoid clutch 31 is deenergized and energize the solenoid clutch 31 particulerly when the engine load is increased so as to stop the cooling operation by the air conditioner. Accompanying this operation, the control unit 10 compares the temperatures inside and outside of the passenger compartment based on the information from the sensors 21 and 22 and actuates a vaccum operator 33 to open an air inlet on the side having a lower temperature. Thereby a temperature rising can be effectively avoided even when the cooling operation is stopped.
