CONSTITUTION: Night-soil or dehydrated night-soil liquid is mixed with dilution water and returned activated sludge in a mixing tank 1, and the mixture is introduced into an aeration tank 3 and aerated with air diffused from a diffuser 5 under pressure feed by a blower 4. In order to obtain treated liquid having less nitrous ion dissolved oxygen contained in the mixture is retained less than a maximum 2.0 ppm while monitoring it by a dissolved oxygen detector 10 and a dissolved oxygen meter 11 installed in the tank 3.
