Abstract

PURPOSE: To stabilize radiation flattening and energy by controlling respectively and detecting respectively position of emergence, angle of emergence and energy of beam emitted from acceleration tube by flattening distribution of emitted radiation.
CONSTITUTION: The variation of flattening distribution is caused by only a change of electron beam orbit. The variation of deflection position and deflection angle can be detected with the difference of output of detectors 11a and 11b and the difference of output of detectors 12a and 12b. With amplification of difference of output of detectors 11a and 11b with differential amplifier 18 and the control of exciting current of beam orbit correction electromagnets 14 and 15, orbit correction can be attained by parallel movement of beam orbit. On the other hand, the difference of power between detectors 12a and 12b is amplified with differential amplifier 19, correcting beam emergence angle by controlling exciting current of electromagnet 15.
