Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.第1共役ジエンと第2共役ジエンとのコポリマーを含んでなる、流体の分 散性または粘度特性を改質するための分散剤物質であって、 前記第1共役ジエンは、少なくとも5つの炭素原子および次式を有する比較的 多く置換されている共役ジエン (式中、R1〜R6はそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル基であるが、ただし、R1 〜R6の少なくとも1つがヒドロカルビル基であることを条件とする)を含んで 成るが、ただし、重合の後に式(1)中の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RI、RII、RIIIおよびRIVはそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基 であるが、ただし、RIおよびRIIの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるか、または RIIIおよびRIVの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるかのいずれかであることを条 件とする)を有することを条件とし;そして 前記第2共役ジエンは第1共役ジエンと異なり、少なくとも4つの炭素原子お よび次式を有する少なくとも1種の比較的に少なく置換された共役ジエン (式中、R7〜R12はそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基である)を含んで 成るが、ただし、重合の後に式(3)の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIはそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル基 であるが、ただし、RVまたはRVIの1つが水素であり、RVIIまたはRVIIIの1 つが水素であり、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIの少なくとも1つがヒドロカル ビル基であることを条件とする)を有することを条件とする;そして 前記コポリマーは 前記コポリマーを選択的に水素化して選択的水素化コポリマーを与えること、 および 前記選択的水素化コポリマーを官能化して、少なくとも1つの極性官能基を有 する官能化コポリマーを与えること を含んでなる方法により官能化されている、 前記の分散剤物質。 2.前記第1及び第2共役ジエンが次の少なくとも2つの交互ブロックを含む ブロックコポリマーとして重合されている請求項1に記載の分散剤物質: (I)x − (B)y または (B)y − (I)x ここで、ブロック(I)には少なくとも1つの式(1)の重合された共役ジエ ンが含まれ、 ブロック(B)には少なくとも1つの式(3)の重合された共役ジエンが含ま れ、 xはブロック(I)における重合モノマー単位の数で少なくとも1であり、そ して yはブロック(B)における重合モノマー単位の数で少なくとも25である。 3.前記第1及び第2共役ジエンが、ランダムコポリマーとして重合されてい る、請求項1に記載の分散剤物質。 4.前記第1及び第2共役ジエンが、枝分れまたは星状枝分れコポリマーとし て重合されている、請求項1に記載の分散剤物質。 5.前記コポリマーが、少なくとも約2,000の分子量を有する、請求項1 に記載の分散剤物質。 6.前記コポリマーが約2,000〜約1,000,000の分子量を有する 、請求項5に記載の分散剤物質。 7.前記コポリマーが約5,000〜約500,000の分子量を有する、請 求項6に記載の分散剤物質。 8.前記第1共役ジエンが前記ポリマー内に0.5重量%〜35重量%の量で 含まれ、そして第2共役ジエンが前記ポリマー内に75重量%〜99.5重量% の量で含まれる、請求項1に記載の分散剤物質。 9.xが約1〜約600であり、そしてyが30〜4,000である、請求項 2に記載の分散剤物質。 10.前記選択的水素化工程が、式(4)の不飽和が、オリジナルの不飽和を 事実上全く保有しない程度まで実質的に完全に水素化され、一方式(2)の不飽 和が前記コポリマーの前記官能化を許容するために十分な量のそのオリジナルの 不飽和を保有する、請求項1に記載の分散剤物質。 11.式(2)の残存不飽和のヨウ素価が、選択的水素化工程の前のヨウ素価 の50%〜100%である、請求項10に記載の分散剤物質。 12.式(4)の残存不飽和のヨウ素価が、選択的水素化工程の前のヨウ素価 の0%〜10%である、請求項12に記載の分散剤物質。 13.式(1)の共役ジエンが、イソプレン、2,3−ジメチル−ブタジエン 、2−メチル−1,3−ペンタジエン、ミルセン、3−メチル−1,3−ペンタ ジエン、4−メチル−1,3−ペンタジエン、2−フェニル−1,3−ブタジエ ン、2−フェニル−1,3−ペンタジエン、3−フェニル−1,3−ペンタジエ ン、2,3−ジメチル−1,3−ペンタジエン、2−ヘキシル−1,3−ブタジ エン、3−メチル−1,3−ヘキサジエン、2−ベンジル−1,3−ブタジエン 、2−p−トリル−1,3−ブタジエン、あるいはこれらの混合物を含む、請求 項1に記載の分散剤物質。 件とする)を有することを条件とし;そして 前記第2共役ジエンは第1共役ジエンと異なり、少なくとも4つの炭素原子お よび次式を有する少なくとも1種の比較的に少なく置換された共役ジエン (式中、R7〜R12はそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基である)を含んで 成るが、ただし、重合の後に式(3)の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIはそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル基 であるが、ただし、RVまたはRVIの1つが水素であり、RVIIまたはRVIIIの1 つが水素であり、そしてRV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIの少なくとも1つがヒド ロカルビル基であることを条件とする)を有することを条件とし;そして 前記コポリマーは 前記コポリマーを選択的に水素化して選択的水素化コポリマーを与えること、 および 前記選択的水素化コポリマーを官能化して、少なくとも1つの極性官能基を有 する官能化コポリマーを与えること を含んでなる方法により官能化されている、前記の方法。 30.前記分散剤物質を前記分散剤で改質された流体の0.001〜20重量 %の量で混合物することを含む、請求項29に記載の方法。 31.前記流体がモーターオイル、タランスミッション流体、圧媒流体、ギア オイル、航空オイルまたは通常液体の燃料である、請求項29に記載の方法。 32.酸化防止剤、流動点降下剤、洗浄剤、分散剤、摩擦調節剤、耐磨耗剤、 消泡剤、腐食錆防止剤、または粘度指数向上剤のうちの少なくとも1種の添加剤 と混合することをさらに含む、請求項29に記載の方法。 35.共役ジエンのホモポリマーを含んで成る、潤滑流体の分散性または粘度 特性を改質するための分散剤物質であって、 ここで前記共役ジエンは、少なくとも5つの炭素原子および次式を有する共役 ジエン (式中、R1〜R6はそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル基であるが、ただし、R1 〜R6の少なくとも1つがヒドロカルビル基であることを条件とする)を含んで 成るが、ただし、重合の後に式(1)中の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RI、RII、RIIIおよびRIVはそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基 であるが、ただし、RIおよびRIIの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるか、または RIIIおよびRIVの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるかのいずれかであることを条 件とする)を有することを条件とし;または 前記共役ジエンは少なくとも4つの炭素原子およ次式 (式中、R7〜R12はそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基である)を有する が、ただし、重合の後に式(3)の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIはそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル 基であるが、ただし、RVまたはRVIの1つが水素であり、RVIIまたはRVIIIの 1つが水素であり、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIの少なくとも1つがヒドロカ ルビル基であることを条件とする)を有することを条件とし;そして 前記ポリマーは 前記ポリマーを選択的に水素化して選択的水素化ポリマーを与えること、およ び 前記選択的水素化ポリマーを官能化して、少なくとも1つの極性官能基を有す る官能化コポリマーを与えること を含んでなる方法により官能化されている、前記の分散剤物質。 36.前記官能化工程が、前記選択的に水素化されたポリマーを改質して、ハ ロゲン、ヒドロキシル、エポキシ、スルホン酸、メルカプト、カルボン酸誘導体 、またはこれらの混合物より成る少なくとも1種の官能基を有する前記官能化さ れたポリマーを与えることを含む、請求項35に記載の分散剤物質。 37.前記官能化工程が、前記官能化ポリマーをモノアミン、ポリアミンまた はこれらの組み合わせと反応させることをさらに含む、請求項36に記載の分散 剤物質。 (式中、R1〜R6はそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル基であるが、ただし、R1 〜R6の少なくとも1つがヒドロカルビル基であることを条件とする)を有する が、ただし、重合の後に式(1)中の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RI、RII、RIIIおよびRIVはそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基 であるが、ただし、RIおよびRIIの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるか、または RIIIおよびRIVの両方がヒドロカルビル基であるかのいずれかであることを条 件とする)を有することを条件とし;または 前記共役ジエンは、少なくとも4つの炭素原子および次式 (式中、R7〜R12はそれぞれ水素あるいはヒドロカルビル基である)を有する が、ただし、重合の後に式(3)の重合された共役ジエン中の不飽和が式 (式中、RV、RVI、RVIIおよびRVIIIはそれぞれ水素またはヒドロカルビル
