Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.液体をスロット18から、スロットの幅全体を横断する傾斜面上に流す方 法であって、キャピラリー数が0.04未満であり、液体が該傾斜面を湿らせず 、以下のステップから成る方法: 以下の式より少ないスロット出口の隙間Sを選択するステップ; ここで、Sは、cmで示されるスロットの隙間、μはポアズで測定される液体粘度 、ρはgm/cm3で測定される液体の密度、σは、dyne/cmで測定される液体の表面 張力、Nreは、Mがgm/sec-cmで測定される幅の単位当りの液体の流量であるNr e =4M/μにより規定されるレイノルズ数、及びaは、0.981+0.34 06 log Nre 0.3406として規定される式であるステップ; 液体をスロットの出口から流すステップ。 2.選択ステップが、以下の式の0.8倍未満のスロット出口の隙間Sを選択 することから成る請求項1記載の方法: 3.液体を流すステップが、コーティング過程に使用するためのコーティング 液を流すことから成る請求項1記載の方法。 4.液体が、水、ラテックス、水溶液、液体金属、溶融無機塩、溶融有機材料 、超臨界液体、液体混合物、及び有機液体のどれかである請求項1記載の方法。 5.液体が、電磁界及び電磁放射の少なくともどちらかに反応す る材料から成る請求項1記載の方法。 6.液体をスロット18から、スロットの幅全体を横断する傾斜面上に流し、 その際に液体が該傾斜面を湿らせるのを防ぐための装置であって、以下から成る 装置: 互いに間隔を置いて配置され、液体が流出できる出口の隙間を有するスロット を形成し、該スロットの出口の隙間Sが以下未満である第一プレート及び代にプ レート; ここで、Sは、cmで示されるスロットの隙間、μは、ポアズで測定される液体の 粘度、ρは、gm/cm3で測定される液体の密度、σは、dyne/cmで測定される液体 の表面張力、Nreは、Mがgm/sec-cmで測定される幅の単位当りの液体の流量で あるNre=4M/μにより規定されるレイノルズ数、aは、0.981+0.3 406log Nre 0.3406として規定される式である。 7.該スロットが0.04未満のキャピラリー数を有する請求項9記載の装置 。 8.該スロット及び表面が、コーティングダイの一部である請求項9記載の装 置であって、該液体がコーティング液であり、該コーティングダイがスライド、 カーテン、ビード、又は押出コーティングダイのどれかである装置。
