- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.血液及び血液に基づく流体を吸収し得るポリマー発泡体材料であって、前記 ポリマー発泡体材料が、互いに連通する開胞の、親水性であり、柔軟な、非イオ ン性ポリマー発泡体構造を有し、前記発泡体材料が、 A)約40分未満、好ましくは約20分未満に5cmの高さまで人工月経流体 (AMF)を垂直に移動することのできる能力、 B)0.0080ないし0.040m2/cc、好ましくは0.010ないし 0.030m2/cc、最も好ましくは0.014ないし約0.026m2/cc の範囲にある毛管比表面積、 C)31℃において5.1kPaの拘束圧力下15分後に測定した場合、約5 ないし約75%、好ましくは10ないし65%、最も好ましくは15ないし60% の圧縮歪みへの耐性、 D)約20ないし約125g/gの自由吸収容量、及び E)約2%未満、好ましくは0.5%未満の残留する水和し得る塩 を有することを特徴とする材料。 2.前記発泡体構造が、平衡状態において約5cmの高さまで少なくとも30g /gのAMFを移動させる能力を有し、少なくとも約50%のAMFの保持/始 めの取込み%を有することを特徴とする請求の範囲第2項の発泡体材料。 3.前記発泡体材料が、30ないし130μm、好ましくは35ないし60μm の数平均胞サイズを有し、8なし30、好ましくは10ないし20μmの数平均 孔サイズを有することを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項または第2項に記載の発泡 第材料。 4.前記発泡体材料が、乾燥ベース密度0.014ないし0.024g/ccを 有することを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項ないし第3項のいずれか1項に記載の 発泡体材料。 5.特に月経流体を吸収するために好適な月経パッドであって、前記パッドが、 I) 流体透過性トップシート、 II) バックシート、及び III) 前記トップシートと前記バックシートの間及び前記パッドの 着用者の流体排出領域に配置される吸収性コア を具備し、前記吸収性コアが、請求の範囲第1項ないし第5項のいずれか1項の 発泡体材料から製造される吸収部材を具備することを特徴とするパッド。 6.前記吸収性コアが、前記トップシートと前記吸収部材との間に流体獲得層を さらに具備することを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項のパッド。 7.前記吸収部材が、毛管吸引比表面積0.014ないし0.020m2/cc を有する上方発泡体層、及び前記上方発泡体層の毛管吸引比表面積よりも高く、 0.020ないし0.026m2/ccの範囲の毛管吸引比表面積を有する下方 発泡体層を具備することを特徴とする請求の範囲第5項のパッド。 8.前記吸収部材が、上方獲得/分配要素であることを特徴とし、前記吸収コア が、前記上方要素と流体連通状態にあり、及び吸収性ゲル化材料を含む下方流体 貯蔵/再分配要素をさらに具備し、前記下方要素が、好ましくは吸収性ゲル化材 料を2つのティッシュ層間に含むものである請求の範囲第5項のパッド。 9.請求の範囲第1項ないし第4項のいずれか1項の発泡体を含むことを特徴と するタンポン、包帯、傷手当用品及び外科用ドレープからなる群から選択される 吸収性製品。 10.血液及び血液に基づく流体を吸収し得る吸収性ポリマー発泡体材料の製造 方法であって、次の工程: A)約50℃またはそれ以上の温度及び低い剪断混合下に、次のものから油中 水型エマルジョンを形成する工程: 1)次のものを含有する油相: a) 約50℃またはそれ以下のTgを有するコポリマを生成することの できるモノマ成分約85ないし約98重量%、好ましくは90ないし97重量% であって、前記モノマ成分が以下の成分を含有するもの、 i) 約35℃またはそれ以下のTgを有するアタクチックアモルフ ァスポリマーを生成することのできる実質的に水に不溶性1官能性モノマ少なく とも1種を約45ないし約70重量%、 ii) スチレンにより提供される靭性とほぼ同等の靭性を付与するこ とのできる実質的に水に不溶性1官能性コモノマ少なくとも1種を約10ないし 約40重量%、 iii) ジビニルベンゼン、トリビニルベンゼン、ジビニルトルエン、 ジビニルキシレン、ジビニルナフタレン、ジビニルアルキルベンゼン、ジビニル フェナントレン、ジビニルビフェニル、ジビニルジフェニルメタン、ジビニルベ ンジル、ジビニルフェニルエーテル、ジビニルジフェニルスルフィド、ジビニル フラン、ジビニルフルフィド、ジビニルスルホン及びそれらの混合物からなる群 から選択される第1の実質的に水に不溶性多官能性架橋剤を5ないし25重量% 、並びに iv) 多官能性アクリレート、メタクリレート、アクリルアミド、メ タクリルアミド及びそれらの混合物からなる群から選択される第2の実質的に水 に不溶性多官能性架橋剤、 b) 前記油相に可溶であり、かつ安定な油中水型エマルジョンを形成するた めに好適である乳化剤成分約2ないし約15重量%、好ましくは3ないし10重 量%であって、前記乳化剤成分は、(i)線状不飽和C16〜C22脂肪酸のジグリセ ロールモノエステル、分岐鎖C16〜C24脂肪酸のジグリセロールモノエステル、 分岐鎖C16〜C24アルコールのジグリセロールモノ脂肪族エーテル、線状不飽和 C16〜C22アルコールのジグリセロールモノ脂肪族エーテル、線状飽和C12〜C14 アルコールのジグリセロールモノ脂肪族エーテル、線状不飽和C16〜C22脂肪 酸のソルビタンモノエステル、分岐鎖C16〜C24肪酸のソルビタンモノエステル 及びそれらの混合物から選択される乳化成分少なくとも約40重量%を含有する 一次乳化剤、または(ii)前記乳化成分を少なくとも20重量%含有する一次乳化 剤と、2次乳化剤との組合せであって、1次乳化剤対2次乳化剤の重量比が約5 0:1ないし約1:4にあるものであって、前記2次乳化剤が、長鎖C12〜C22 ジ脂肪族、短鎖C1〜C4ジ脂肪族4級アンモニウム塩、長鎖C12〜C22ジアルコ イル(アルケノイル)−2−ヒド トキシエチル、短鎖C1〜C4ジ脂肪族4級アンモニウム塩、長鎖C12〜C22ジ脂 肪族イミダゾリニウム4級アンモニウム塩、短鎖C1〜C4ジ脂肪族、長鎖C12〜 C22モノ脂肪族ベンジル4級アンモニウム塩及びそれらの混合物から成る群から 選択され、及び 2)0.2ないし20重量%、好ましくは1ないし10重量%の、好ましく は塩化カルシウムである水溶性電解質を含む水溶液を含有する水相、 3)水相対油相の体積対重量比が20:1ないし125:1、好ましくは4 0:1ないし70:1の範囲にある、 B)前記油中水型エマルジョンの油相における前記モノマ成分を重合させ、血 液に基づく流体を獲得し及び分配し得るポリマー発泡体材料を形成する工程、 C)前記ポリマー発泡体材料を洗浄し、残留電解質のレベルを約2%未満に下 げる工程、 D)前記洗浄した発泡体を有効量の親水性化界面活性剤により処理する工程、 並びに E)前記洗浄した発泡体を、含水量約40%またはそれ以下にまで、好ましく は5ないし15%に脱水する工程 を具備することを特徴とする方法。 11.前記工程B)のポリマー発泡体が、工程C)の前にスライスされることを 特徴とする請求の範囲第10項の方法。 12.前記モノマ成分には、 i) C4〜C14アルキルアクリレート、アリールアクリレート、C6 〜C16アルキルメタクリレート、アクリルアミド、C4〜C12アルキルスチレン 及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択されるモノマ50ないし65重量%、 ii) スチレン、エチルステレン及びそれらの混合物から成る群から 選択されるコモノマ15ないし40重量%、並びに iii) ビニルベンゼン12ないし18重量% が含まれることを特徴とする請求の範囲第10項または第11項の方法。 13.モノマ(i)が、ブチルアクリレート、ヘキシルアクリレート、オクチルア クリレート、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート、ノニルアクリレート、デシルア クリレート、ドデシルアクリレート、イソデシルアクリレート、テトラデシルア クリレート、ベンジルアクリレート、ノニルフェニルアクリレート、ヘキシルメ タクリレート、オクチルメタクリレート、ノニルメタクリレート、デシルメタク リレート、イソデシルメタクリレート、ドデシルメタクリレート、テトラデシル メタクリレート、N−オクダデシルアクリルアミド、p−n−オクチルスチレン 及びそれらの混合物から成る群から選択される請求の範囲第12項の方法。 14.前記乳化成分には、ジグリセロールモノオレエート、ソルビタンモノオレ エート、ジグリセロールモノイソステアレート及びそれらの混合物から成る群か ら選択される乳化成分が少なくとも70重量%含有されることを特徴とする請求 の範囲第10項ないし第13項のいずれか1項の方法。 15.前記親水性化界面活性剤が、C11〜C15アルコールのエトキシレート;C11 〜C15脂肪酸のエトキシレート;約2000よりも大きい分子量を有するエチ レンオキシド、プロピレンオキシド及びそれらの混合物の縮合生成物;プロピレ ンオキシド及びプロピレングリコールの縮合生成物;硫酸化アルコールエトキシ レート;アルキルエーテルサルフェート;分岐鎖及び線状アルキルアリールエト キシレート;シリコンーグリコールコモノマ並びにそれらの混合物から成る群か ら選択されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第10項ないし第15項のいずれか1 項の方法。 16.0.1ないし5%の親水性化界面活性剤が工程D)後の発泡体材料中に残 留することを特徴とする請求の範囲第15項の方法。
