Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.平坦な表面の一部分上にヒト又は動物の細胞試料を担持している平坦な表面 上に液体を広げるための方法であって、該方法が、 i)平坦面を有するエレメントを、該平坦面が該表面と平行であり且つ該表面 のすぐ近くにあるようにし且つ該試料から横方向に移して、該表面に隣接して配 置すること、該平坦面は該平坦面と該表面との間のスペーサー手段によって該表 面から所定の距離の間隔が置かれていること、 ii)該液体を該表面上又は該エレメント上に分配すること、及び iii)所要量の液体を分配した後、該エレメントを該スペーサー手段を介して 該表面と接触させながら該エレメントの該平坦面が該試料を覆うまで該表面とは 相対的に移動させること、そのことによって該液体が該表面と該平坦面との間の キャビティ中に閉じ込められるようになり且つ該試料全体に均等に広げられるこ と を含むことを特徴とする方法。 2.試料の適当な温置の後に余分の液体を除去する追加の工程を含む請求の範囲 第1項記載の方法であって、該方法が、該エレメントを該表面との該接触を維持 しながら該表面とは相対的に該試料から離れる方向に移動させること、及び、該 キャビティが該表面の縁を越えて移動する時に、液体の表面張力によって該キャ ビティ内に保持さている該余分の液体を除去するために該縁で真空を適用するこ とを更に含むことを特徴とする方法。 3.該試料を空気に曝すことなしに第一の液体を置き換えるためにそれ以降の処 理液を該試料に付与する請求の範囲第2項記載の方法であって、該エレメントを 該試料から離れる方向に移動させる該工程が該キャビティの小部分を該真空に曝 すのに単に十分であるように該エレメントを移動させることを含むこと、及び該 方法が該真空の適用と同時に該それ以降の処理液を付与し、該それ以降の処理液 を該真空が適用されている該エレメント端とは反対側の端に隣接して付与するこ とを更に含むことを特徴とする方法。 4.該表面及びエレメントが水平に対して僅かな角度で傾斜していること、及び 該真空が該表面の下方端に適用されることを特徴とする請求の範囲第3項記載の 方法。 5.温置プロセスの前及び/又は温置プロセス中に液体を攪拌するために該エレ メントを該表面上で前後に移動させることを特徴とする上記請求の範囲の何れか 1項に記載の方法。 6.液体を該表面上又は該エレメント上に分配する該工程が該キャビティへの開 口に隣接している該表面上に該液体を分配することを含むことを特徴とする上記 請求の範囲の何れか1項に記載の方法。 7.平坦な表面の一部分上にヒト又は動物の細胞試料を担持している平坦な表面 上に液体を広げるための装置であって、該装置が僅かに凹んだ平坦面を持つエレ メントを含んでいること、そのことによって該平坦面が該表面に平行になるよう にして該エレメントを該表面上に配置した時に、薄いキャビティが該エレメント と該表面との間に形成され、該キャビティは該エレメントの一つの縁に沿って接 近可能であり且つ該キャビティは該試料を収容するのに十分な大きさであること を特徴とする装置。 8.該キャビティが該平坦な表面、該平坦な表面と平行な該平坦面、及び該平坦 面上の持ち上がったレールによって形成されており、該持ち上がったレールは概 して該エレメントの2個の平行な縁に沿って延びており、残りの縁の内の一方は レールを持っておらず且つ該キャビティに近づく手段を提供する該1個の縁であ ることを特徴とする請求の範囲第7項記載の装置。 9.該平坦な表面が顕微鏡スライドの上にある請求の範囲第8項記載の装置であ って、該装置は該スライドの下側で該スライドの縁に隣接して配置されている真 空ノズルを更に含むことを特徴とする装置。 10.1個の縁が、該エレメントを該表面上に配置した時に該表面とで鋭角を形 成するはす縁であることをことを特徴とする請求の範囲第9項記載の装置。 11.該スライド上に固定される端部止めを更に含み、該エレメントが該スライ ド上の最終温置位置にある時に該端部止めは該エレメントの該1個の縁にかみ合 い、該端部止めは、該エレメントの該最終位置において該1個の縁に沿って接近 するための、エレメントのはす縁と相補的なはす縁を持っていることをことを特 徴とする請求の範囲第10項記載の装置。 12.該エレメントと該スライドとの相対移動をコンピューターによってオート メーション化して制御することをことを特徴とする請求の範囲第9〜11項の何 れか1項に記載の装置。 13.該相対移動を複数段階で実施し、そのことにより、第一段階では、エレメ ントを、エレメントのはす縁がスライドの一端部に隣接している位置からエレメ ントが該表面を一部分覆う位置に移動させ、そして、該第一段階の前に該表面上 に置かれた処理液をエレメントのはす縁とスライドの該一端部との間の空間 に充満させるのに十分な時間滞在させ、第二段階においては、エレメントをスラ イドを横切って更に移動させて、試料を該キャビティ内に含ませ且つ最初に該キ ャビティ内に含まれていたいかなる空気も試料及び該処理液によって完全に置き 換えることをことを特徴とする請求の範囲第12項記載の装置。 14.該スライド及びエレメントは水平に対して僅かの角度で傾斜しており、且 つ該真空ノズルが該スライドの下方縁にあることを特徴とする請求の範囲第13 項記載の装置。 15.該スライドとエレメントとの間のオートメーション化されて制御される相 対移動は、温置プロセスの前及び/又は温置プロセス中にエレメントをスライド 上で前後に移動させて液体を攪拌するのに適合していることを特徴とする請求の 範囲第14項記載の装置。 16.該レールを含む該エレメントがガラスで構成されており且つ該平坦面より 上の該レールの高さは20〜150μmの間であることを特徴とする請求の範囲 第15項記載の装置。 17.該エレメントが該レールを除いてガラスで構成されており、該レールは不 活性且つ耐久性のある物質を用いてエレメント上に印刷するか又は塗布されてお り、且つ該平坦面より上の該レールの高さは20〜300μmの間であることを 特徴とする請求の範囲第15項記載の装置。
