Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.光源と; 入射光を同一パターンで空間的に変調するように作用をする少なくとも2つの 可偏向ミラーアレイと; 前記空間光変調器間で前記光源からの同一スペクトル成分の光を分離する手段 と; 前記可偏向ミラーアレイにより生成された空間的に変調された光を組合わせて デイスプレイ上に投映する映像を作り出す手段と; デイスプレイ上へ前記組合わされた光を指向させて映像を形成する手段とを具 え、 映像を形成する前記組合わされた光が各可偏向ミラーアレイによって生成され た光よりも大きな光束を持つようにしたことを特徴とする表示システム。 2.多波長光源と; 入射光を同一パターンの異なる波長帯成分で空間的に変調するように作用をす る複数の可偏向ミラーアレイと; 異なる波長帯域の各々の範囲の光を対応する前記可偏向ミラーに指向させる波 長選択手段と; 前記可偏向ミラーアレイにより生成された空間的に変調された光を組合わせる 手段と; 該組合わされた光をデイスプレイ上に指向させる手段とを具え、 十分な空間光変調器を備えて、空間光変調器間で前記光源により発生した光束 の分割のバランスを増大させるようにしたことを特徴とする表示システム。 3.前記表示する手段は、 前記組合わされた光を投映スクリーン上に投映する手段を有することを特徴と する請求項1または2に記載の表示システム。 4.前記可偏向ミラーアレイの各々が空間的に変調された光を反射するように作 用をし、および前記光を分離する手段は前記空間光変調器によって反射された、 空間的に変調された光をさらに組合わせるように構成されたことを特徴とする請 求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の表示システム。 5.前記光を分離する手段は、入射した光をP偏光とS偏光の成分に分離するよ うに作用をする少なくとも1つの偏光スプリッタを有することを特徴とする請求 項1ないし4のいずれか1つに記載の表示システム。 6.前記光を分離する手段は、少なくとも1つの半反射手段(semi-reflectiveme ans)を有し、該手段の上に入射した光の一部を反射し、該手段の上に入射した光 の残余の部分を透過するように作用することを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のい ずれか1つに記載の表示システム。 7.前記光を分離する手段はダイクロイック手段を有することを特徴とする請求 項1ないし6のいずれか1つに記載の表示システム。 8.前記ダイクロイック手段は、同一の原色帯域内の光を分離するように構成さ れていることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示システム。 9.グリーン光スペクトル内での2つの波長帯域について少なくとも2つの空間 光変調器を有することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示システム。 10.各空間光変調器は、空間的に変調した光を反射するように作用し、および 光路内に設けられた反射手段の個数によって、空間的に変調された、組合わされ た光が補償反射を受けるようにして、前記空間光変調器によって持ち込まれた空 間的に変調された光の左右像を補償するようにしたことを特徴とする請求項1な いし9のいずれか1つに記載の表示システム。 11.請求項1または請求項1に従属する場合の請求項3ないし10のいずれか 1つに記載の表示システムであって、該システムを通して異なるスペクトル成分 の光を順次に指向させる手段を具えたことを特徴とする表示システム。 12.添付図面の図1、2および3を参照して前述したようなシステムと実質的 に同じであることを特徴とする表示システム。 13.請求項1から12のいずれか1つに記載の表示システムと投映スクリーン とを具えたことを特徴とする投映システム。 14.請求項1から13のいずれかに記載した表示装置を使用することを特徴と する方法。
