Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1 (a)セルロース系材料、鉱物材料、有機廃棄物、及び無機廃棄物からなる 群から選ばれる微粉砕材料;及び (b)該セルロース系材料に耐水及び耐火性を与えるのに効果的なマグネシウム オキシクロライド及び/又はマグネシウムオキシサルフェートを含有するラテッ クスを組合せて含有する組成物。 2 前記ラテックスが、スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体エマルジョン、アクリレ ート樹脂エマルジョン、及びポリビニルアセテートからなる群から選ばれる請求 項1に記載の組成物。 3 熱硬化性又は常温硬化性樹脂を更に含有する請求項1に記載の組成物。 4 前記樹脂が、イソシアヌレート、ウレアホルムアルデヒド、フェノールホル ムアルデヒド、ISOSET樹脂、フェノール樹脂系接着剤、動物にかわ、ジフェニル メタンジイソシアネート、及びメチレンジエチルジイソシアネートからなる群か ら選ばれる請求項3に記載の組成物。 5 撥水剤を更に含有する請求項1に記載の組成物。 6 前記セルロース系材料が、セルロース繊維、セルロースウェファー、又はセ ルロース廃棄物である請求項1 に記載の組成物。 7 耐水及び耐火性製品を製造する方法であって、 (a)マグネシウムオキシクロライド及び/又はマグネシウムオキシサルフェー ト並びにラテックスを含有する組成物を、セルロース系材料、鉱物繊維、有機廃 棄物、及び無機廃棄物からなる群から選ばれる微粉砕材料に加える; (b)(a)工程からの成分を混合して、前記組成物により微粉砕材料を被覆す る; (c)熱硬化性又は常温硬化性の樹脂と(b)工程からの被覆された材料とを混 合する; (d)(c)工程の製品からマットを形成する; 及び (e)該マットを熱及び/又は圧力に供し、前記製品を成形する という工程を包含する方法。 8 (c)工程に先だって、被覆された材料の水分率を調節する工程を更に包含 する請求項7に記載の方法。 9 (e)工程を、約300°F〜約375°Fの温度で、約3〜約8分行う請求項7に 記載の方法。 10 (e)工程を、約300psi〜約600psiの圧力で行う請求項7に記載の方法。 11 前記セルロース系材料が、セルロース繊維、セルロースウェファー、及び セルロース廃棄物からなる群から選ばれる請求項7に記載の方法。 12 前記セルロース系材料が、木材系繊維、木材系パーティクル、木材系ウェ ファー、又は木材系ストランドである請求項7に記載の方法。 13 前記樹脂が、イソシアヌレート、ウレアホルムアルデヒド、フェノールホ ルムアルデヒド、ISOSET樹脂、フェノール樹脂系接着剤、動物にかわ、ジフェニ ルメタンジイソシアネート、及びメチレンジエチルジイソシアネートからなる群 から選ばれる請求項7に記載の方法。 14 前記水分率が、約5重量%〜約25重量%に調節される請求項8に記載の方 法。 15 前記水分率が、約9重量%〜約11重量%に調節される請求項14に記載の 方法。 16 耐水及び耐火性製品を製造する方法であって、 (a)ラテックスと塩化マグネシウ及び/又は硫酸マグネシウムを含有する混合 物の一部を、セルロース系材料、鉱物繊維、有機廃棄物、及び無機廃棄物からな る群から選ばれる微粉砕材料上にスプレーする; (b)酸化マグネシウム粉末を、スプレーされた材料に加え、スプレーされた材 料を被覆する; (c)前記混合物の残りを、被覆された材料上にスプレーする; (d)熱硬化性又は常温硬化性樹脂を、(c)工程からの被覆された材料に加え 、混合する; (e)(d)工程の製品からマットを形成する; 及び (f)該マットを、熱及び/又は圧力に供し、前記製品を成形する という工程を包含する方法。 17 (f)工程を、約300°F〜約375°Fの温度で、約3〜約8分行う請求項1 6に記載の方法。 18 (f)工程を、約300psi〜約600psiの圧力で行う請求項16に記載の方法 。 19 前記セルロース系材料が、セルロース繊維、セルロースウェファー、及び セルロース廃棄物からなる群から選ばれる請求項16に記載の方法。 20 前記樹脂が、イソシアヌレート、ウレアホルムアルデヒド、フェノールホ ルムアルデヒド、ISOSET樹脂、フェノール樹脂系接着剤、動物にかわ、ジフェニ ルメタンジイソシアネート、及びメチルジエチルジイソシアネートからなる群か ら選ばれる請求項16に記載の方法。 21 (d)工程に先だって、材料の水分率を調節する 工程を更に包含する請求項16に記載の方法。 22 前記水分率が、約5重量%〜約25重量%に調節される請求項21に記載の 方法。 23 前記水分率が、約9重量%〜約11重量%に調節される請求項21に記載の 方法。 24 耐水及び耐火性製品を製造する方法であって (a)マグネシウムオキシクロライド及び/又はマグネシウムオキシサルフェー ト並びにラテックスを含有する組成物を、セルロース系材料、鉱物繊維、有機廃 棄物、及び無機廃棄物からなる群から選ばれる微粉砕材料に加える; (b)(a)工程からの成分を混合して、該組成物により該材料を被覆する; (c)(b)工程の製品からマットを形成する; 及び (d)該マットを、熱及び/又は圧力に、約150°Fの温度で、約12時間供し、 前記製品を成形する という工程を包含する方法。 25 前記セルロース系材料が、セルロース繊維、セルロースウェファー、及び セルロース廃棄物からなる群から選ばれる請求項24に記載の方法。 26 (c)工程に先だって、被覆されたセルロース系 材料の水分率を調節する工程を更に包含する請求項24に記載の方法。
