Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.金属MはYとAlで形成されたグループより選ばれたものである金属酸化物 M2O3の層で発光物質を被覆する方法において、その順序で、発光物質を金属M の塩の溶液内に入れ、金属Mの化合物を均質沈殿によって発光物質上に付着し、 発光物質を溶液より分離し、乾燥し、加熱することを特徴とする方法。 2.発光物質を、乾燥後に空気中で200℃と600℃の間の温度で加熱し、次 いで、還元性ふん囲気中で600℃と1200℃の間の温度で加熱する請求の範 囲1記載の方法。 3.MはYであり、還元性ふん囲気中の加熱を850℃と950℃の間の温度で 行う請求の範囲2記載の方法。 4.MはAlであり、還元性ふん囲気中での加熱を950℃と1100℃の間の 温度で行う請求の範囲2記載の方法。 5.請求の範囲1乃至4の何れか1つに記載した方法により得られた被覆された 発光物質。 6.MはYで、Y原子の一部を希土類金属原子で置換した請求の範囲5記載の被 覆された発光物質。 7.金属酸化物M2O3で形成された層の厚さは25nm〜100nmの範囲内に ある請求の範囲5または6に記載の被覆された発光物質。 8.発光物質は二価のユーロピウムで付活されたバリウム マグネシウム アル ミニウムである請求の範囲5,6または7記載の被覆された発光物質。 9.請求の範囲5乃至8の何れか1つに記載された被覆された発光物質より成る 発光スクリーンをそなえた低圧水銀放電ランプ。 10.被覆された発光物質は二価のユーロピウムで付活されたバリウム マグネシ ウム アルミニウムである請求項9記載の低圧水銀放電ランプ。
