Abstract
Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.プロテーゼを患者の体内に導入する装置にして、 身体の外側に留まる基端と、末端と、プロテーゼを体内の所望の位置まで導入 し得るよう該プロテーゼを半径方向に圧縮した形態に支持する支持部分とを有す る細長のカテーテルと、 前記プロテーゼの末端方向の拡張先端とを備え、該先端が、前記半径方向に圧 縮されたプロテーゼに略等しく又はそれよりも大きい最大径を有し、また、より 小径部分まで末端方向に平滑に伸長する末端部分と、前記ステントを膨張させた 後、引き抜き易くするためより小径部分まで基端方向に平滑に伸長する基端部分 とを有する形状とされることを特徴とする装置。 2.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記先端の前記末端部分及び基端 部分がより小径部分までのテーパー付き部分を有することを特徴とする装置。 3.請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置にして、前記先端には、20°以下の角度の 基端方向へのテーパー付き部分が形成されることを特徴とする装置。 4.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記先端が、鋭角な縁部を伴わず に基端部分にて平滑な形状とされることを特徴とする装置。 5.請求の範囲第4項に記載の装置にして、前記プロテーゼが、膨張して前記 先端の前記最大径よりも小さい径となることが出来、前記先端の前記基端部分が 、前記カテーテルを基端方向に引き抜く間に前記プロテーゼに係合し、該プロテ ーゼを拡げてカテーテルを除去し得るようにしたことを特徴とする装置。 6.請求の範囲第2項に記載の装置にして、前記基端部分が略20°以下のテー パーを有することを特徴とする装置。 7.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記先端の最大径が約8mmである ことを特徴とする装置。 8.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記基端部分及び前記末端部分の 軸方向長さが前記先端の前記最大径を上廻ることを特徴とする装置。 9.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記先端が、径の異なる部分間に 遷移領域を有し、前記遷移領域が、鋭角な縁部を伴わずに平滑に形成されること を特徴とする装置。 10.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、前記プロテーゼが自己膨張型であ ることを特徴とする装置。 11.請求の範囲第10項に記載の装置にして、前記プロテーゼの上方に位置す る退却可能な保護シースを更に備え、該保護シースが、前記先端に係合して、体 内への導入中、前記プロテーゼが体液に露呈されないように保護するシールを形 成することを特徴とする装置。 12.請求の範囲第11項に記載の装置にして、前記保護シースが、異なる径部 分に平滑に遷移する部分を有する段差領域にて前記先端に係合することを特徴と する装置。 13.請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置にして、体内への導入中、前記シースの上 方に配置された末端部分よりも小さい径部分を有する可撓性の基端部分が設けら れたシースを備えることを特徴とする装置。 14.プロテーゼを患者の体内に導入する方法にして、 身体の外側に留まる基端と、末端と、前記プロテーゼを半径方向に圧縮した形 態に支持する支持部分とを有する細長のカテーテルを提供する段階を備え、 前記カテーテルが、前記支持部分の膨張する末端先端を備え、該末端が前記前 記半径方向に圧縮されたプロテーゼに略等しく、又はそれよりも大きい径を有し 、また、末端方向により小径部分まで平滑に伸長する末端部分と、前記ステント を膨張させた後、引き抜き易くするため基端方向により小径部分まで平滑に伸長 する基端部分とを有する形状とされ、 前記カテーテルを体腔内に配置し且つ前記プロテーゼを所望の位置に位置決め する段階と、 前記プロテーゼを前記先端の前記最大径よりも大きくない径まで膨張させる段 階と、 前記カテーテルを引き抜いて前記先端の基端部分及び前記プロテーゼに係合さ せる段階と、 前記先端が前記プロテーゼを貫通する通路を拡げて、カテーテルが身体から除 去されるように前記カテーテルの引き抜きを続行する段階とを備えることを特徴 とする方法。 15.請求の範囲第14項に記載の方法にして、長時間の経過後、前記内腔を完 全に膨張させるため前記内腔の内側に軸方向力を提供し得るよう自己膨張型プロ テーゼを選択する段階と、 前記プロテーゼを完全に膨張させる前に前記カテーテルを引き抜く段階とを備 えることを特徴とする方法。 16.請求の範囲第15項又は16項に記載の方法にして、先端の末端部分又は 基端部分を前記領域に押し付けて、該領域を拡げることにより、前記先端の前記 最大径よりも小さい径まで狭窄した内腔領域を通り抜けるようにする段階を備え ることを特徴とする方法。
