Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bed log for cultivating Lentinus edodes Sing. capable of surely carrying out the rooting of fungi of Lentinus edodes Sing. and initial spread of hyphae and provide both methods for raising the bed log and for cultivating the Lentinus edodes Sing. SOLUTION: Each bed log 1 is obtained by housing a log 2 for Lentinus edodes Sing. inoculated with spawns of Lentinus edodes Sing. in a package 3 comprising a synthetic resin bag having through holes, formed near an opening and the bottom and provided with filters (3a) and (3b) for preventing the penetration of various germs and permeating air therethrough and then closing the opening 4. The resultant many bed logs 1 are stacked on sleepers arranged on the ground surface in many stages while ensuring a moderate air permeability through the filters (3a) and (3b). The upper part of the bed logs is covered with a corrugated board and the direct rays of the sun are screened to carry out the temporary planting for raising the bed logs 1. Thereby, the bed logs 1 having the rooted spawns and spread initial hyphae are used to cultivate the Lentinus edodes Sing. according to a conventional method.

[0004] Temporary prone (one of the operations of plunging) for raising such saplings is an important work which is said to account for about 80% of success or failure of sapling making. Most of them are performed under natural meteorological conditions, and the probation period varies depending on the tree species, cold and warm regions, location of the probation, etc., but it generally takes two months or longer.

[0006] For this reason, starting with the selection of a temporary storage place in a good environment for the cultivation of sapwood, adjusting the humidity by water sprinkling, work to avoid the effects of direct sunlight, and to keep the temperature constant A lot of troublesome work such as heat insulation work with vinyl is forced, and the loss of time and cost required for this work cannot be overlooked. Furthermore, this temporary probing occupies a large number of places for probation because the log inoculated with shiitake inoculum can only be horizontally stacked at a height of about 40 to 50 cm from the viewpoint of ease of work after the probing. It is a big bottleneck for shiitake log cultivation, because it requires a larger area for mass production.

The method for growing sapwood for cultivating shiitake mushrooms and the method for cultivating shiitake mushrooms using the cultivated sapwood have many excellent effects described below. (1) After the raw wood inoculated with the inoculum is put in the package, the moisture in the raw wood keeps the inside of the package at a certain humidity, so there is no need to add water, and the sprinkling work after inoculation and the sprinkling facility used for it It is possible to expect labor saving and significant improvement in economic efficiency without the need for (2) Since the temperature inside the package is kept almost constant, the hyphae can be uniformly attached to all the inoculation sites, and the fungi can be spread evenly inside the log. (3) Since the raw wood is housed in a package and air is passed through the filter formed in the package without invasion of miscellaneous bacteria, the harmful fungi of shiitake cultivation do not invade from the outside and the shiitake caused by the harmful fungi. The loss is greatly reduced. (4) At the time of temporary sagging, since the post-inoculation log wood is put in a package in units of one to several, and is temporarily sagged, it is easy to interrupt the sagging work (drying of the log, adhesion of harmful bacteria, etc.). There is no need for troublesome steps such as sprinkling water every time the work is interrupted and applying a covering material unlike the case of the conventional temporary laying. (5) In the conventional temporary laying down, since the logs are normally stacked horizontally at a height of 400 to 500 mm, the number of accommodations per unit area is small (about 150 / tsubo), but in the present invention, it is 1500.
Since the sapwood can be horizontally stacked up to a height of about mm, the number of accommodations per unit area is greatly improved (about 400 / tsubo), and it is possible to easily lay down even in a narrow place. (6) In the conventional temporary probing, there was a large difference in temperature and humidity between the upper and lower shards, and variations and differences in slag formation were found. You can obtain Nahodaki, so there is no loss. (7) In addition, since it is certain that the Shiitake bacterium will be attached to the raw wood and the hypha will spread at the initial stage of the inoculation, the loss of the production of sapwood after that will be eliminated, and as a result, the yield of fruit bodies, which is the final purpose, will increase. And management is stable. (8) It is possible to effectively and easily grow saplings by applying them to raw logs in the state of raw trees whose water content is difficult to control, which has been increasing in recent years.
