Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.空気乾燥により有機エアロゲルの孔から液体を抽出する工程を有する有機エ アロゲル製造の改良方法。 2.反対側表面の乾燥速度が同じになるように、該反対側表面を空気にさらされ るように、前記エアロゲル材料を配置する工程をさらに含む請求項1記載の改良 方法。 3.溶媒中で反応体の混合物を形成し、形成した混合物をゲルにし、形成したゲ ルを硬化させ架橋密度を増加させ、ゲル中の孔の液体を選ばれた溶媒と交換し、 前記空気乾燥工程の間、選ばれた溶媒を蒸発させてエアロゲルを形成することに より、前記エアロゲル前駆体を形成して乾燥させる工程をさらに有する請求項3 記載の改良方法。 4.混合物を形成する工程を、炭酸ナトリウム、炭酸リチウム、及び炭酸カリウ ムの群から選ばれる塩基触媒の存在下で、レソルシノール、フェノール、カテコ ール、フロログルシノール及び他のポリヒドロキシ−ベンゼン化合物からなる群 から選ばれるモノマーを、ホルムアルデヒド又はフルフラールのいずれかと、少 なくとも混合することにより行う請求項3記載の改良方法。 5.混合物を形成する工程が、レソルシノール、ホルムアルデヒド、及び炭酸ナ トリウムを選ばれた比率で混合することにより行う請求項3記載の改良方法。 6.硬化する工程を、最初に室温で、次に50℃で、その後90℃で行う請求項 5記載の改良方法。 7.孔の液体を選ばれた溶媒で交換する工程を、該液体をアセトンで交換し、そ の後該アセトンをシクロヘキサンで交換することにより行う請求項6記載の改良 方法。 8.不活性雰囲気下で乾燥エアロゲルを熱分解させ炭化エアロゲルを形成する工 程をさらに含む請求項1記載の改良方法。 9.前記雰囲気が窒素であり、熱分解工程が1050℃の温度で行われる請求項 8記載の改良方法。 10.前記有機エアロゲルが、レソルシノール/ホルムアルデヒド・エアロゲルで ある請求項9記載の改良方法。 11.ポリマー性材料と溶媒との混合物を形成する工程、蒸発を最小限にして該混 合物をゲルにする工程、ゲル化混合物をアクアゲルに硬化する工程、アクアゲル 中の水を選ばれた溶媒と交換する工程、選ばれた溶媒を少なくとも部分的に蒸発 させる工程、及び空気乾燥してエアロゲルを形成する工程を有する、密度が0. 4−1.2g/ccの範囲であるエアロゲルの製造方法。 12.形成したエアロゲルを不活性雰囲気下で熱分解して炭化エアロゲルを製造す る工程をさらに含む請求項11記載の方法。 13.熱分解工程を温度1050℃で行う請求項12記載の方法。 14.前記不活性雰囲気が窒素からなる請求項13記載の方法。 15.製造した炭化エアロゲルが約0.9g/ccである請求項12記載の方法。 16.前記混合物形成工程が、レソルシノール、ホルムアルデヒド、及び炭酸ナト リウムを選ばれた比率で混合することにより行われる請求項11記載の方法。 17.ゲル化混合物を硬化する工程を、室温で特定の時間、50℃で特定の時間、 その後90℃で特定の時間、行う請求項16記載の方法。 18.形成されたアクアゲルを、選ばれた大きさ及び厚さの小部分を形成するよう にカットすることにより、エアロゲルの選ばれた大きさの小部分に形成する工程 をさらに含む請求項17記載の方法。 19.水を選ばれた溶媒に交換する工程を、水をアセトンに交換し、その後該アセ トンをシクロヘキサンヘ交換することによって行う請求項17記載の方法。 20.反対側表面が空気にさらされて、該反対側表面が同じ乾燥速度を提供するよ うに、形成したアクアゲルを配置する工程をさらに含む請求項19記載の方法。 21.空気乾燥工程を約0.1−1.0気圧で行う請求項11記載の方法。 22.空気乾燥工程を溶媒交換工程の次に行う請求項11記載の方法。 23.請求項20記載の方法により製造される、密度が約0.6g/ccであるレソル シノール/ホルムアルデヒド・エアロゲル。 24.請求項12記載の方法により製造される、密度が約0.9g/ccである炭化エ アロゲル。 25.製造したエアロゲルを所望の形状に形成する工程をさらに含み、該形成工程 を空気乾燥工程の前又は後に行う請求項1記載の改良方法。 26.孔の液体を選ばれた溶媒で交換する工程を、該液体をアセトンで交換し、続 いて蒸発及び空気乾燥により前記エアロゲルを形成する請求項6記載の改良方法 。
