Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.軸線方向に延びる帰りルーメン(34)の一部を画成する内側チューブ材( 30)と、内側チューブ材の一部を含みかつ取入れルーメン(32)を画成する ように内側チューブ材から半径方向へ離隔して配置された外側チューブ材(28 )と、内側および外側チューブ材にそれぞれ一体的に取着されて帰りルーメン( 34)の前記部分の軸線方向に滑らかな連続部を形成するとともに前記内側およ び外側チューブ材の一部を含む遷移部(67)と、遷移部から軸線方向に延びか つ遷移部とともに先端セクション(26)を形成するとともに帰りルーメン(3 4)の前記部分の別の滑らかな連続部を形成しかつ前記外側チューブ材(28) からなりしかもカテーテルの先端を画成する先端部(64)と、取入れルーメン (32)にアクセスすることができるように遷移部に隣接して外側チューブ材に 形成された開口(48)と、内側および外側チューブ材(28、30)の基端に 取着されたコネクタ(24)と、取入れおよび帰りルーメンとそれぞれ連続した 流体連通を行なうようにコネクタ(24)に取着された取入れおよび帰りチュー ブ(36、38)とを備え、1本のカテーテルを介して流れるデュアルフローを 必要とする処置に使用することができるようにしたことを特徴とする同軸カテー テル(20)。 2.先端セクションは帰りルーメンからの流れを許容するようにカテーテルの前 記先端に隣接して少なくとも1つの別の側部開口(50)を画成することを特徴 とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のカテーテル。 3.内側ルーメン(34)は横断面が丸く、外側チューブ材(28)の主要部は 横断面が丸いことを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のカテーテル。 4.内側チューブ材(30)は外側チューブ材(28)の壁厚よりも小さい壁厚 を有することを特徴とする請求の範囲第1項に記載のカテーテル。 5.内側ルーメンは横断面が丸く、外側チューブ材の主要部は横断面が丸いこと を特徴とする請求の範囲第4項に記載のカテーテル。 6.コネクタ(24)は三叉状に形成されていることを特徴とする請求の範囲第 1項に記載のカテーテル。 7.取入れおよび帰りチューブ(36、38)はカテーテルの主体部(22)の 軸線に対して略軸線方向に等しく拡開して延びていることを特徴とする請求の範 囲第6項に記載のカテーテル。 8.取入れおよび帰りチューブの拡開の角度は15乃至30度の範囲にあること を特徴とする請求の範囲第7項に記載のカテーテル。 9.第1の横断面を有するとともに所定の長さを有する外側チューブ材(28) を提供する工程と、外側チューブ材の中に緩く嵌合するように形成された第2の 横断面を有するとともに前記所定の長さと対応する長さを有する内側チューブ材 (30)を提供する工程と、内側チューブ材を外側チューブ材の内部に配置する 工程とを備え、チューブ材はこの工程の後にチューブ材間に環状の空間を画成す るように選定され、更にマンドレル(54)を内側チューブ材の内部に配置する 工程と、熱と圧力を外側チューブ材の一端に加えるとともに外側チューブ材を熱 と圧力の中へ移動させて外側チューブ材と内側チューブ材の幾分かが前記マンド レルを中心に互いに対して流れ込むようにすることにより前記第1の横断面より も小さい横断面の先端セクション(26)を形成して内側チューブ材と先端セク ションを通る横断面が実質上一定で滑らかなかつ連続した帰りルーメン(34) を画定する工程と、前記環状空間により画成される取入れルーメン(32)への 流れを許容するように先端セクションに隣接して外側チューブ材に少なくとも1 つの入口開口(48)を形成する工程とを備えることを特徴とする同軸デュアル ルーメンカテーテル(20)を製造する方法。
