Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.(1)少なくとも一つのシリンダーと、これと連動し、上死点位置を有し 、燃焼チャンバを形成するためのピストンと、(2)吸気ストローク、圧縮スト ロークおよび膨張ストロークを含む作動サイクルと、(3)燃料導入システムと を有する、制限された温度燃焼を行うための膨張チャンバピストン式内燃機関を 作動する方法であって、 燃焼チャンバ内でプロセス空気を完全燃焼するのに必要な総燃料のうちの所定 部分を導入することにより、所定の燃料−空気混合気を形成する工程と、 ピストンがほぼ上死点になった際に前記燃料−空気混合気を点火する工程と、 完全燃焼に必要な総燃料の第2部分を膨張ストロークのほぼ開始点で導入する 工程とを備え、 導入された第1燃料から生じた燃料−空気混合気の燃焼が実質的等容積プロセ スであり、 第2燃料部分の導入の結果行われる燃焼が実質的等温プロセスである、膨張チ ャンバピストン式内燃機関を作動する方法。 2.直接噴射により燃料を導入する、請求項1記載の方法。 3.実質的等容積燃焼プロセスと、その後に実行される実質的等温燃焼プロセ スを含んで成る熱入力段階を備えた作動サイクルを有する、燃焼チャンバを備え たスパ ーク点火式内燃機関。 4.前記実質的等容積燃焼プロセスおよび実質的等温燃焼プロセスを実行する ような位相関係で、前記燃焼チャンバ内に燃料を直接噴射するための手段を含む 、請求項3記載のスパーク点火内燃機関。 5.噴射スケジュール、タイミングおよびレートを制御するための、前記燃料 噴射手段と連動した手段を含み、該制御手段は、 (1)プロセス空気の完全燃焼に必要な総燃料量の所定部分に相当する、一つ 以上の離散した量の第1噴射を行って、この第1噴射燃料量の燃焼により前記実 質的に等容積の燃焼プロセスを実行し、 (2)前記完全燃焼に必要な総燃料量の第2の部分に相当する一つ以上の離散 した量から成る第2の噴射を行って、この第2の燃料噴射量の燃焼により前記実 質的に等温燃焼プロセスを実行するようになっている、請求項4記載のスパーク 点火内燃機関。 6.前記第2部分は完全燃焼に必要な総燃料の残りから成る、請求項5記載の スパーク点火内燃機関。 7.圧縮ストローク中に総燃料のうちの前記所定の第1部分を導入し、等温圧 縮プロセスを実行する、請求項1記載の方法。 8.前記第1の所定の部分の燃焼は、所定の最大圧力に制限されており、 総燃料のうちの第2部分を供給して、まず所定の最高 燃焼温度に達するまで定圧力燃焼を行い、次に前記所定の最高温度で等温燃焼を 行う、請求項7記載の方法。
