Abstract
Description
Claims (29)
- 1.光源と、前記源からの光を異なる色成分のビームに分割するための手段と、 各々が傾斜可能ミラー装置のアレイを含む複数の空間光変調器とを含む表示投影 装置であって、前記分割手段および変調器への光路が、前記変調器が装着される 単一のプリズムアセンブリとして設けられることと特徴とする、装置。
- 2.源から光を受取るプリズムの表面が、光ビームを各変調器装置に収束させる ように凸状である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 3.変調器の何らかのマトリックス素子によって配向された光を、前記マトリッ クス素子が「オフ」位置にあるときに、吸収するように位置される光吸収手段を 含む、先行請求項のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 4.光吸収手段が、吸収された光に対応する熱を発散させるための手段を含む、 請求項3に記載の装置。
- 5.光吸収手段が、プリズムの面に装着されかつプリズムと対応する屈折率を有 する層を含む、請求項3または4に記載の装置。
- 6.層が黒ガラス層を含む、請求項5に記載の装置。
- 7.変調器装置に入る前に不所望のスペクトル成分を排除するように光源からの ビームをフィルタ処理するための手段を含む、先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載 の装置。
- 8.フィルタ手段が赤外成分を排除するようなものである、請求項7に記載の装 置。
- 9.フィルタ手段が紫外成分を排除するように構成される、請求項7または8に 記載の装置。
- 10.フィルタ手段が前記不所望の成分を発散的に反射するように凸表面上に配 置される、請求項7ないし9のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 11.フィルタ手段が排除されたビームを光源に再び焦点を合わせないように構 成される、請求項7ないし10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 12.フィルタ手段がプリズムアセンブリの表面上に配置される、請求項7ない し11のいずれか1つにに記載の装置。
- 13.光源と空間光変調器との間に位置されて、空間光変調器を照射しないビー ムの部分を吸収するための手段を含む、先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置 。
- 14.多角形のエッジによって制限される湾曲したレフレクタのアレイを規定す る表面を含む光学的構成要素を含み、前記構成要素は光をプリズムアセンブリに 配向するように構成される、先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 15.レフレクタが凹伏である、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 16.アレイが湾曲している、請求項14または15に記載の装置。
- 17.前記アレイの多角形のレフレクタの各々からの光線をプリズムアセンブリ に重ねるための光学手段をさらに含む、請求項14ないし16のいずれか1つに 記載の装置。
- 18.前記反射アレイと整列した多角形のレンズのアレイをさらに含む、請求項 17に記載の装置。
- 19.多角形の光学レンズまたはレフレクタのアレイを含む多角形の光学ビーム を生成するための構成要素を含み、各前記レンズまたはレフレクタはプリズム表 面と組合わされ、前記プリズム表面は前記アレイのある点に関して漸進的に傾斜 しており、そのためアレイから予め定められた距離で前記レンズまたはレフレク タの各々からの多角形のビームを単一の均一な多角形のスポットに重ねる、先行 請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 20.空間光変調器光出力システムと、出力レンズ構成とを含み、光源からその 変調器装置または各変調器装置を介してレンズまでの光路は、レフレクタによっ て折曲げられ、レンズまでの物理的距離を減じ、広い開口のレンズを可能にする 、先行請求項のいずれか1つに記載の装置。
- 21.アクティブマトリックス空間光変調器装置を含む投影映像装置であって、 アクティブマトリックス空間空間光変調器装置は、前記マトリックスの要素が、 この要素が第1の状態にあるときには第1の方向に光を配向し、この要素が第2 の状態にあるときには第2の方向に配向するタイプのものである投影映像装置で あって、前記第2の方向に配向された光を吸収するように位置される光吸収手段 を特徴とする、投影映像装置。
- 22.光源と、そこからのビームを変調するための空間光変調器と、変調された ビームをディスプレイに投影するための手段とを含む映像投影表示システムであ って、空間光変調器装置の前に不所望のスペクトル成分を排除するために、光源 からのビームをフィルタ処理するための手段を特徴とする、映像投影表示システ ム。
- 23.多角形のエッジによって制限される湾曲したレフレクタのアレイを規定す る表面を含む、光学的構成要素。
- 24.レフレクタが凹状である、請求項23に記載の光学的構成要素。
- 25.アレイが湾曲している、請求項23または24に記載の光学的構成要素。
- 26.多角形光学ビームを化成するための構成要素であって、多角形の光学レン ズまたはレフレクタのアレイを含み、前記レンズまたはレフレクタの各々はプリ ズム表面と組合わされ、前記プリズム表面は、前記アレイ上のある点に関して漸 進的に傾いており、そのためアレイから予め定められた距離で各前記レンズまた はレフレクタからの多角形のビームが単一の均一な多角形のスポットに重なる、 構成要素。
- 27.光源と、少なくとも1つの空間光変調器と、出力レンズ構成とを含む空間 光変調器光出力システムであって、光源からその変調器装置または各変調器装置 を介してレンズまでの光路がレフレクタによって折曲げられ、レンズまでの物理 的距離を減じ、広い開口のレンズを可能にする、空間光変調器光出力システム。
- 28.第1の断面を有するビームを発生するための光源と、ビームによって照射 され、第2の異なる断面を有する空間光変調器とを含む空間光変調器投影システ ムであって、光源と空間光変調器との間に位置されて、空間光変調器を照射しな いビームの部分を吸収するための手段を特徴とする、空間光変調器投影システム 。
- 29.光学的構成要素がプリズムアセンブリと一体である、請求項14に記載の 装置。
