Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 1.通信装置であって: (a)入力データ・シンボル・ストリームに基準シンボルを挿入し、基準コード 化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリームを形成する基準手段;および (b)前記基準手段と動作可能に結合され、通信チャンネル上での送信に先だっ て、拡散コードを用いて前記基準コード化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリ ームを拡散することによって、前記基準コード化された入力・データ・シンボル ・ストリームに対して.前記通信チャンネル上の送信のための準備を行う、拡散 手段; から成ることを特徴とする通信装置。
- 2.請求項1において、前記拡散手段は、前記基準シンボルを第1拡散レートで 拡散する第1拡散手段と、前記入力データ・シンボル・ストリームを第2拡散レ ートで拡散する第2拡散手段と、から成ることを特徴とする通信装置。
- 3.通信装置であって: (a)拡散コードを用いて受信通信信号を拡散解除し、基準サンプル・ストリー ムと、データ・サンプル・ストリームとを得る復調器; (b)前記復調器に動作可能に結合され、前記基準サンブル・ストリームを利用 することによって、チャンネル応答を予測するようにしたチャンネル予測器;お よび(c)前記復調器および前記チャンネル予測器に動作可能に結合され、前記 予測されたチャンネル応答を利用することにより、前記データ・サンプル・スト リームから予測データ・シンボルを生成するようにした検出器;から成ることを 特徴とする通信装置。
- 4.請求項3において、前記復調器は、第1拡散解除コードおよび第1拡散解除 レートの一つをそれぞれ用いて、前記受信通信信号を拡散解除し、前記基準サン プル・ストリームを得る第1デスブレッダと、第2拡散解除コードおよび第2拡 散解除レートの一つをそれぞれ用いて、前記受信通信信号を拡散解除し、前記デ ータ・サンプル・ストリームを得る第2デスブレッダと、から成ることを特徴と する前記通信装置。
- 5.請求項3において、前記チャンネル予測器は:(a)前記基準サンプル・ス トリームに低域通過フィルタ処理を行うことにより、前記チャンネル応答を予測 する手段; (b)前記チャンネル応答を、サンプリング時間の線形関数として予測する手段 ;および (c)前記基準サンプル・ストリームに低域通過フィルタ処理を行うことにより 、各基準サンプルに関連するチャンネル応答の予測を生成するフィルタ手段;か ら成る群の内の1つと。 前記フィルタ手段に動作可能に結合され、前記基準サンプルによって予測された チャンネル応答の少なくとも2つの間の予測チャンネル応答を生成する補間手段 とを、含むことを特徴とする前記通信装置。
- 6.請求項3において、前記検出器は;(a)前記予測チャンネル応答を前記デ ータ・サンプル・ストリームと相関付けることによって、前記データ・サンプル ・ストリームから前記予測データ・シンボルを生成する手段; (b)最尤デコーディング方法を利用して予測データ・ビットを生成し、前記予 測データ・シンボルから前記予測データ・ヒットを得る手段; (c)ビタビ最尤デコーディング・アルゴリズムを利用して予測データ・ビット を生成し、前記予測データ・シンボルから予測データ・ビットを得る手段;から 成る群の内の1つを含むことを特徴とする前記通信装置。
- 7.通信方法であって: (a)入力データ・シンボル・ストリームに基準シンボルを挿入し、基準コード 化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリームを形成するステップ; (b)通信チャンネル上での送信に先だって、拡散コードを用いて前記基準コー ド化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリームを拡散することによって、前記基 準コート化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリームに対して、前記通信チャン ネル上の送信のための準備を行うステップ;および (c)前記拡散基準コード化された入力データ・シンボルを、前記通信チャンネ ル上で送信するステップ;から成ることを特徴とする通信方法。
- 8.請求項7において、前記挿入ステップは、挿入アルゴリズムにしたがって、 基準シンボルを入力データ・シンボル・ストリームに挿入して、基準コード化さ れた入力データ・シンボル・ストリームを形成するステップを含み、前記挿入ア ルゴリズムは、前記拡散基準コード化された入力データ・シンボル・ストリーム が送信される通信チャンネルのチャンネル変動周波数の2倍よりも高いレートで 、基準シンボルを挿入するステップを合むことを特徴とする方法。
- 9.受信通信信号を処理する方法であって:(a)拡散コードを用いて前記受信 通信信号を拡散解除し、基準サンプル・ストリームと、データ・サンプル・スト リームとを得るステップ; (b)前記基準サンプル・ストリームを利用することによって、チャンネル応答 を予測するステップ;および(c)前記予測チャンネル応答を利用することによ り、前記データ・サンプル・ストリームから予測データ・シンボルを生成するス テップ; から成ることを特徴とする方法。
- 10.請求項9において、前記予測ステップは:(a)前記基準サンプル・スト リームに低域通過フィルタ処理を行うことによって、各基準サンプルに関連する 前記チャンネル応答の予測を生成するステップ;および(b)前記基準サンプル によって予測されたチャンネル応答の少なくとも2つの間の予測チャンネル応答 を生成するステップ; を含むことを特徴とする方法。
