【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、熱可塑性プラスチック
製管に融着により一体連結させる熱可塑性プラスチック
製管継手の融着方法に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来、電気抵抗線を円柱面に螺線状に巻
いて形成したスリーブ状の発熱体を、熱可塑性プラスチ
ック製管の端部を差込む熱可塑性プラスチック製管継手
の受口内周面に設け、電気抵抗線に電流を流し、管端部
に継手の受口を電気融着させる技術があった。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記従来技術は、電気
抵抗線の相互接触による短絡を防ぐために電気抵抗素線
に特殊な絶縁被覆を施す必要があり、発熱体の形成も容
易に行い難いこともあって、発熱体の製造コストが高く
つく。さらに、電気抵抗線を電源に接続するためのター
ミナル部を管継手に一体形成する必要があり、その分管
継手の金型が高くつく。従って、管継手が高価になる問
題があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】然るに、本発明は、熱可
塑性プラスチック製管継手の熱可塑性プラスチック製管
との接触面に非絶縁体を固設し、該非絶縁体に管継手外
側から電磁波を掛け、磁気損失により非絶縁体から発熱
させるものである。

【作 用】従って、極めて製造コストが安い非絶縁体を
発熱体として用いることができると共に、管継手にター
ミナル部などを特別に設ける必要がなく、従来に比べて
管継手の価格を安くできるものである。

【実施例】以下本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて詳述す
る。図1は本発明に係る熱可塑性プラスチック製管継手
の融着方法を示す説明図であり、図中(1)は熱可塑性
プラスチック製の管、(2)は熱可塑性プラスチック製
のソケット形の管継手で、管継手(2)は管(1)と同
一の材料で成形されると共に、管(1)の端部を差込む
受け口(3)の内周面には発熱体であるスリープ状の非
絶縁体(4)が埋込み固定されている。非絶縁体(4)
としては炭素材でスリーブ状に編上げた無編布や金属ス
リーブを用いる他、受け口(3)の内周面に金属粉をコ
ーティングしたものでもよい。無編布や金属スリーブを
用いる場合は管継手成形時に金型にインサートする一
方、金属粉のコーティングの場合は管継手成形後の二次
加工で行う。
【0007】そして、前記管継手(2)の受け口(3)
の外周側に電磁コイル(5)を配設し、このコイル
(5)に通電して受け口(3)の内周面の非絶縁体
(4)に電磁波を掛けることにより、磁気損失が発生
し、この磁気損失により非絶縁体(4)から発熱し、管
(1)の端部と管継手(2)の受け口(3)とが融着さ
れるものである。
【0008】また、図中(6)は前記コイル(5)並び
に電磁力調節用の可変抵抗(7)並びに電源に対する接
続端子(8)(9)から成る電磁波発生回路であり、可
変抵抗(7)による電磁力調節により非絶縁体(4)の
発熱量(仕事量)を調節することができる。
【0009】図2は上記回路(6)を組込んだクランプ
式の電磁波発生装置を示すもので、該装置(10)は受
け口(3)外周を囲う半割りのクランプアーム(11)
(12)を設け、一方のクランプアーム(11)は取手
(13)の一端から一体形成し、他方のクランプアーム
(12)は取手(13)の一端に支軸(14)を介して
回動自在に取付けてあり、可動側のクランプアーム(1
2)を開閉することによりクランプアーム(11)(1
2)を受け口(3)に脱着すると共に、各クランプアー
ム(12)先端の合わせ面に設ける磁石(15)(1
6)により、可動側のクランプアーム(12)を閉保持
するようにしている。

2)にそれぞれ半円状の鉄心(17)を内装すると共
に、取手(13)の端部に前記接続端子(8)(9)を
配設し、一方の接続端子(8)に一端を接続させる導電
線を、固定側のクランプアーム(11)の鉄心(17)
にこの一端から他端に所定回数巻付け、次いで可動側の
クランプアーム(12)の鉄心(18)にこの一端から
他端に所定回数巻付け、該導電線の他端を他方の接続端
子(9)に接続させ、各クランプアーム(11)(1
2)内部に形成されたコイル(5)により受け口(3)
外周略全面から受け口(3)内周面の非絶縁体(4)全
面に略均一に電磁波を掛けるように構成している。
【0011】また、上記したクランプ式の電磁波発生装
置(10)は受け口(3)の直径が中以下の管継手
(2)に適用される。
【0012】図3は上記回路(6)を組込んだベルト式
の電磁波発生装置を示すもので、該装置(21)は受け
口(3)の外周面に巻付ける可撓性のベルト体(22)
を設け、該ベルト体(22)の両端表裏に商標名マジッ
クテープ(23)を張り付け、受け口(3)の直径に応
じて巻付け長さを適宜調節できるようにしてある。

向に長い棒状の鉄心(24)を長さ方向に略等間隔に内

続端子(8)(9)を配設し、一方の接続端子(8)に
一端を接続させる導電線を、各鉄心(24)にこの一端
から他端に順次所定回数巻付け、該導電線の他端を他方
の接続端子(9)に接続させ、ベルト体(22)内部に
形成されたコイル(5)により受け口(3)外周全面か
ら受け口(3)内周面の非絶縁体(4)全面に略均一に
電磁波を掛けるように構成している。

(21)は受け口(3)の直径が中以上の管継手(2)
に適用される。
【0015】各電磁波発生装置(10)(21)のコイ
ル(5)及び導電線には絶縁が施されると共に、クラン
プアーム(11)(12)及び取手(13)の成形材料
はプラスチックまたは硬質ゴムが用いられ、ベルト体
(22)の成形材料はプラスチックまたはゴムまたは皮
が用いられるものである。

【発明の効果】以上実施例から明らかなように本発明
は、熱可塑性プラスチック製管継手(2)の熱可塑性プ
ラスチック製管(1)との接触面に非絶縁体(4)を固
設し、該非絶縁体(4)に管継手(3)外側から電磁波
を掛け、磁気損失により非絶縁体(4)から発熱させる
もので、極めて製造コストが安い非絶縁体(4)を発熱
体として用いることができると共に、管継手(2)にタ
ーミナル部などを特別に設ける必要がなく、従来に比べ
て管継手(2)の価格を安くできる顕著な効果を奏する
ものである。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 熱可塑性プラスチック製管継手の熱可塑
    性プラスチック製管との接触面に非絶縁体を固設し、該
    非絶縁体に管継手外側から電磁波を掛け、磁気損失によ
    り非絶縁体から発熱させることを特徴とする熱可塑性プ
    ラスチック製管継手の融着方法。
