(57)【要約】 (修正有) 【目的】 合成樹脂管に対して三次元の曲げ加工を容易
に行う共に、同時に他の合成樹脂の成形品を取付けるに
適した合成樹脂管を提供する。 【構成】 管体1中に高周波誘電発熱体を埋設し、この
発熱体に対して高周波電界を照射することでヒートセッ
トを行うようにした。 【効果】 高周波誘電発熱体を有する曲げ加工用合成樹
脂管を用いたので、曲げ,枝管取付が同時に行える。

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】この発明は、高周波誘電発熱体を
有する加工用合成樹脂管と、同材質又は親和性のある異
質の材料で成形された合成樹脂成形部品との接合に関
し、その接合方法が、高周波誘電加熱により、熱融着に
より、接合する方法に関する。

【従来の技術】熱可塑性合成樹脂管は現在、他の成形品
を接合する場合、P.V.C成形等は接着剤や、溶剤を
用いて、接着接合している。また、ポリプロピレン、ポ
リエチレン、ポリブテン等の成形品は、融着法の外に、
パッキンまたはOリング、スリーブ等を用いて、又、ホ
ースバンドや金具等でカシメる等、機械的接続性が一般
的である。
【0003】前記の内、接着法は接着剤、又は溶剤を介
して接合し、融着法にはウエルドとE・F継手などがあ
り、ウエルド法には、スピンウエルド法と、管接合部表
面と継手接合部内部を、急速に加熱溶融させて接着する
方法であり、E・F継手法は、継手接合部に電熱体(ニ
クロム線)を配して管を接続後、電流を通して、加熱融
着させる方法や、高周波誘導発熱体を介して、高周波誘
導加熱による接合法や形状によっては、超音波融着法等
もある。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】上記した接合方法で、
一般的にはそれぞれの適した方法で接合可能であるが、
現在またはこれから、曲げ加工管の用途が急速に産業界
には高まっている。金属管は、冷間でも熱間でも曲げた
だけで求める形状に形状保持が可能であるが、プラスチ
ック管は、求める形状に曲げてもそのままでは、その曲
げた形状を保持出来ないので、曲げ加工、ベント加工、
フレア加工等そのほとんどが、熱加工している。即ち、
熱を加えて、求める形状を保持しその後、冷却してヒー
トセットをして求める形状品を得ている。
【0005】しかしながら、従来のヒートセット法は、
プラスチックパイプやチューブを予熱または、所要の温
度に加熱し、この加熱状態下で曲げ等の加工を行ない。
その後、冷却手段を経て所望製品を得ていた。また、冷
間で曲げ治具等に取り付け、その後、加熱,冷却して、
所望製品を得ていた。
【0006】加熱媒体としては、気体,液体,固体
(砂,金型等)や輻射熱が用いられていた。これ等の方
法はいずれも熱伝導の悪いプラスチック管を加熱するの
に、かなり時間を要していた。

【課題を解決するための手段】この発明は、上記目的を
達成するため熱可塑性合成樹脂管の管材の中間部位に高
周波誘電発熱体を配設し、この発熱体に高周波電界を照
射することで、所望部位のみを加熱して、曲げ加工等を
施すため、上記発熱体を利用して、管と又同質または親
和性のある異質の成形品とを接合する方法である。
【0008】この発明に適用される曲げ加工用合成樹脂
管は特願平5−101891号(特開平
号)として技術公開されており、この発明は前記管を
用いて所望成形品を得ようとするものである。
【0009】図1および図2は前記した管の概要を示し
たもので、符号10で示す合成樹脂管は、管体1を熱可
塑性合成樹脂材で形成しており、発熱層2は図2に示す
ように管体1の成形材料と同質の材料21と高周波誘電
発熱材で形成した短繊維または粉粒体22とを混練した
状態で成形されている。前記した合成樹脂管10は同図
の斜線図で示す高周波誘電発熱体に対して高周波電界発
生装置Aを介して曲げ部位のみを加熱され従来のヒート
セットの数十分の一の加工時間での曲げ加工が可能であ
る。

【作用】この発明は、合成樹脂管の管体の中間部位に高
周波誘電発熱層を有し、この合成樹脂管と、合成樹脂一
般成形品とを、高周波電界発生装置Aからの高周波電界
を加熱電極Eを介して照射することで、発熱材を介し
て、管と成形品を融着接合させることができるものであ
る。

【実施例】この発明に係る合成樹脂管と、成形品との実
施例を図3乃至図6により説明すれば、下記の通りであ
る。この実施例はフュエルパイプに適用したもので、曲
げ加工と枝管取付とを同時加工を行う場合を示したもの
である。
【0012】具体的には、図3に示す高周波誘電発熱体
を有する合成樹脂管10を図4に示すような曲げ部位B
1〜B7を有し、しかも枝管20を取付けたフュエルパ
イプ30を製造しようとするものである。前記したB1
〜B7の曲げ部位の成形手段は既に説明したので枝管2
0の取付手段につき説明すれば次のとおりである。図5
に示すように、高周波誘電発熱体を有する合成樹脂管1
0の所望部位の管体1の肉厚部40を切削加工して、発
熱層2の部位を露出させ(露出させない場合は、発熱層
の部位0.05〜0.1mm以内であればよい)、図6
に示すように接合部25,26に、圧入して保持し、接
合部位を、高周波電源Hと電界発生電極(加熱電極)E
を有する高周波電界発生装置Aにより、発熱層2を加熱
溶融させ、管と相手接合部が、充分溶融した時、冷却し
て融合させる。なお、管の先端を加工せず、接合部位に
高周波誘電発熱体を介して、高周波誘電発熱体を有する
合成樹脂管の曲げ加工を施したものとを接合することが
可能である。
【0013】この発明は前記実施例に限定されることな
く、枝管の形状については例えばL形,T字型等公知の
分岐管に適用できるばかりでなく、枝管の接続部位に誘
電発熱体を埋設したものを任意に設計できるものであ
る。その上所望治具を用いることによって曲げ、ベント
の各加工以外にフレア,バルジ加工なども行なえるもの
である。
【0014】ここで、発熱層2中の発熱材の短繊維また
は粉粒体22の粒度は、高周波加熱機能を有する発熱材
として高周波誘電加熱機能を有する誘電率の高いもので
あればよく、一般的には各種樹脂の強化と、成形性を考
慮して、0.2〜100マイクロメーター程度のものが
あれば好ましい。又、発熱層2の厚さは、管体の肉厚直
径等に適応させた任意の形状が選べるものであり、発熱
材の混合比も、1対1の重量比で充分である。
【0015】発熱材として最も良好なものの1つに、酸
化亜鉛(ZnO)ウィスカがあり、このウィスカは、強
酸,強アルカリ以外、化学的に安定であり、耐熱性も優
れている。また発熱材としては、酸化マグネシウム、酸
化硅素などがある。
【0016】また、図7から明らかなように高周波電界
発生装置Aは商用周波電力を用い、この電力を整流器、
高周波インバータ(高周波電源)Hを介して加熱電極E
より高周波電界を照射するものである。

【発明の効果】この発明は、合成樹脂管を高周波誘電加
熱により、極めて急速に然も正確に曲げ等のヒートセッ
ト加工を施し、更にこの管の高周波誘電発熱層を利用し
て、他の一般成形品との接合を高周波誘電加熱により、
正確で短時間に接合することで、従来の接合方法を比較
して作業性を向上させることができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】 高周波誘電発熱体を有する曲げ加工用合
    成樹脂管に対して枝管を取付けると共に、前記管に曲げ
    加工を行って枝管付き曲げ管を製造する方法。
  2. 【請求項2】 請求項1の枝管加工および曲げ加工を行
    う場合に高周波誘電発熱体に対して高周波電界を照射し
    て前記両部位をヒートセットしたことを特徴とする高周
    波誘電発熱体を有する曲げ加工用合成樹脂管と他の合成
    樹脂成形品との接合装置。
