Claims (6)
- 1.伝送すべき画像を、誤差信号予測のための少なくとも1つの定量化(qua ntifier)回路を含む符号化装置により符号化することより成る、低い空 間CIF解像力および高い時間解像力の画像を第1の基準に従って伝送し、高い 空間CIF解像力および低い時間解像力の画像を第2の基準に従って伝送するた めの、画像を非常に低いデータデータ転送速度で差動符号化するための方法であ って、 −定量化回路により用いられる定量化過程の平均値を計算する過程(21)と、 −得られた平均値を第1の所定のしきい値、および第1のものより高い第2の所 定のしきい値と比較する過程と、 −および時間の経過順に、定量化過程の平均値が第1の所定のしきい値より低い 時に、第1のQCIF基準で画像を符号化する過程(8、30)と、−それから 、定量化過程の平均値が第2の所定のしきい値より低い限り、第1の基準で画像 を符号化する過程(8、30)と、 −それから、定量化過程の平均値が第2の所定のしきい値より高い時に、第2の 基準で画像を符号化する過程(8、31)と、 −それから、定量化過程の平均値が第1の所定のしきい値より高い限り、第2の 基準で画像を符号化する過程と、 −それから、定量化過程の平均値が第1の所定のしきい値より低い時に、第1の 基準で画像を符号化する過程(8、30)と、 で構成されることを特徴とする、画像を非常に低いデータ転送速度で差動符号化 するための方法。
- 2.請求の範囲1記載の方法であって、画像をブロックヘ分解する過程と、現在 の画像の各ブロックに対する予測誤差を計算する過程(10)と、予測誤差を定 量化の前に余弦変換により変換する過程(11)とで構成される方法。
- 3.請求の範囲2記載の方法であって、定量化されたデータを可変長符号に従っ て符号化する過程(8)で構成されることを特徴とする方法。
- 4.請求の範囲1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の方法であって、動作予測誤差を補 償する過程で構成されることを特徴とする方法。
- 5.符号化装置が、画像予測器(5)と、定量化器(6)と、伝送される画像を 再構成する装置(7)と、符号割当て器(8)と、画像を1つの基準または他の 基準に従って画像を符号化するためにしきい値型制御装置(21)を介して予測 誤差計算装置(10)ヘ結合される調整装置(20)とを備えることを特徴とす る請求の範囲1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の方法を実施するための符号化/複合 化装置。
- 6.請求の範囲5記載の符号化/複合化装置であって、一方では、定量化解除回 路(24)と逆余弦変換計算回路(25)ヘ結合される可変長復号器(23)と 、他方では、第1の入力端子が、1つまたは他の基準に従って制御される予測装 置(27)ヘ結合され、第2の入力端子が逆変換計算回路(25)ヘ結合される 画像再構成装置(27)とを備えることを特徴とする符号化/復合化装置。
