Abstract
Description
Claims (21)
- 1.有機カチオン性高分子電解質により共凝集し、凝集体の形態に結合したチタ ニア顔料の粒子及び焼成カオリンの粒子を含む複合不透明顔料。
- 2.該高分子電解質が第4アンモニウム塩ポリマーであることを特徴とする請求 の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 3.該カチオン性高分子電解質がジメチルジアルキルアンモニウムクロリドであ ることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 4.該チタニア及び焼成カオリンが9.5−11の範囲のpHで共凝集すること を特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 5.焼成カオリンに対するチタニアの重量比が10:90から90:10の範囲 であることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 6.焼成カオリンに対するチタニアの重量比が35:65から65:35の範囲 であることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 7.該チタニア顔料がルチルであることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料 。
- 8.該チタニア顔料がアナターゼであることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の 顔料。
- 9.焼成カオリンに対するチタニアの重量比が30−50の範囲であり、該カチ オン性高分子電解質がジメチルジアルキルアンモニウムクロリドであり、焼成カ オリン及びチタニア顔料の合計重量に基づいて0.1%−0.25%の範囲の量 で加えられることを特徴とする請求の範囲1に記載の顔料。
- 10.チタニア顔料の粒子を準備し、焼成カオリン顔料の粒子を準備し、該粒子 を水の存在下で混合して該粒子の物理的混合物を含むスラリを形成し、水溶性カ チオン性高分子電解質をチタニア顔料の該粒子、焼成カオリン顔料の該粒子又は それらの物理的混合物に、水の存在下で9より高いpHにて少なくとも1種類の アニオン性顔料分散剤の存在下で導入し、該カチオン性高分子電解質はチタニア の該粒子及び焼成カオリンの該粒子を共凝集して1個の凝集体に結合するのに十 分な量で加えられ、チタニア顔料及び焼成カオリン顔料の共凝集粒子を回収し、 場合により該共凝集粒子に追加のアニオン性顔料分散剤を加える段階を含む、複 合不透明顔料の製造法。
- 11.回収された共凝集粒子中に、50%固体の流動性非沈降性スラリを与える のに十分な量のアニオン性分散剤が存在することを特徴とする請求の範囲10に 記載の方法。
- 12.アニオン性分散剤が多酸のアルカリ金属又はアンモニウム塩であることを 特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 13.アニオン性分散剤がケイ酸、リン酸、アクリル又はメタクリル酸のナトリ ウム、カリウム又はアンモニウム塩、あるいはそれらの組み合わせを含むことを 特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 14.アニオン性分散剤がケイ酸ナトリウム、ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム又はそ れらの混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 15.該アニオン性分散剤がケイ酸ナトリウム及びポリアクリル酸ナトリウムの 混合物を含むことを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 16.共凝集を行うpHが9.5−11の範囲であることを特徴とする請求の範 囲10に記載の方法。
- 17.チタニアの該粒子を凝集させるのに必要な量より過剰な量の該カチオン性 高分子電解質をチタニアの該粒子のアニオン分散水性スラリに加え、その後焼成 カオリンの粒子を該カチオン性高電解質を含むチタニアの該スラリと混合するこ とを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 18.該チタニアのアニオン分散スラリをチタニアの該粒子と混合する前、及び カチオン性高分子電解質を加える前に、該カチオン性高分子電解質を焼成カオリ ンクレーの粒子のアニオン分散スラリに加えることを特徴とする請求の範囲10 に記載の方法。
- 19.焼成カオリンの該粒子及びチタニアの該粒子を該高分子電解質を加える前 に混合することを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 20.共凝集混合物中の焼成カオリンに対するチタニアの重量比が10:90か ら90:10の範囲であることを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法。
- 21.焼成カオリンに対するチタニアの重量比が35:65から6535の範囲 であることを特徴とする請求の範囲10に記載の方法
