Abstract

(57)【要約】 【目的】 タイウイングを除去して従来の欠点を解決し
た矯正歯科用ブラケットを提供することである。 【構成】 ブラケット本体１が形状記憶合金又は形状記
憶樹脂から成る。またタイウイングの代わりにブラケッ
トスロット４にアーチワイヤ５を保持するための爪部２
が設けられている。 【効果】 矯正力が効果的に作用し、ブラケットを小型
化できる。またタイウイングが不要なので、結紮線断端
による事故が少なくなる。

本考案は矯正歯科用ブラケットの改良に関する。

【従来の技術】
図５は従来の矯正歯科用ブラケットを示す。同図において、１はブラケット本 体で、アーチワイヤを介して伝わる矯正力に対して形状を変えない剛体よりなり 、またこのブラケットには、アーチワイヤを結紮する際に必要なタイウイング３ が設けられている。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】
しかるにこのようなタイウイングを有する従来のブラケット構造であると、上 記タイウイング３がブラケット本体１の切端側、咬合側並びに歯頸側に付随する ため、それが１つの原因となって食物残渣がしばしば停滞し、歯齦（歯肉）炎や 口臭を生じていた。
【０００４】 またタイウイング３に対する結紮時に結紮線の断端により手指を傷つける危険 性がしばしばあり、医療従事者の院内感染につながっていた。 更に、時には切端側、咬合側のタイウイングが対向歯と衝突することもあり、 また、萌出途中の歯牙では歯頸側のタイウイングが歯齦（歯肉）に当って適切な 位置にブラケットを装着することができない場合があった。
【０００５】 本考案の目的は上記タイウイングを不要とすることにより上述した従来の技術 の欠点を解決した矯正歯科用ブラケットを提供することにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記目的を達成するため、本考案の矯正歯科用ブラケットは、形状記憶合金又 は形状記憶樹脂を用いて形成したブラケット本体に、ブラケットスロットにアー チワイヤを保持するための複数の爪部を設けたことを要旨とする。

【作用】
ブラケットからアーチワイヤを着脱する場合、爪部にアーチワイヤを押し当て て、スロット自体の弾力を利用して行なう。

【実施例】
以下図面に示す本考案の一実施例を説明する。 図１は本考案による矯正歯科用ブラケットの一実施例で、ブラケット本体１は 形状記憶合金又は形状記憶樹脂を用いて形成されている。このためブラケットは 単にアーチワイヤによる矯正力を歯牙に伝達するだけでなく、自ら矯正力を生み 出す作用を有する。
【０００９】 次に、ブラケットスロット４にアーチワイヤを保持するための爪部２を新たに 設ける。これによりアーチワイヤの結紮のため、従来の矯正歯科用ブラケットに 設けてあったタイウイングを除去してあるので、ブラケット本体１の大きさを小 さくすることができ、矯正治療中の患者の口腔内をより清潔に保ち易くなる。ま たこの爪部により結紮しなくてもブラケットスロットにアーチワイヤを保持でき るため、結紮線の断端により手指を傷つける危険性を少なくし医療従事者の院内 感染の防止に役立つ。
【００１０】 図２は上記実施例において、ブラケットスロット４にアーチワイヤ５を装着し た状態を示す。図３はこのブラケットスロット４からのアーチワイヤ５の着脱状 態を示す。同図から分かるようにアーチワイヤ着脱時に爪部２をアーチワイヤ５ が乗り越えるためにブラケット自体の弾力によって撓むよう設計されている。
【００１１】 図４は本考案のブラケットと、従来のそれとを対比的に示しており、点線は従 来のタイウイング３をあらわしており、本考案ではこれに代えて爪部２を新たに 設けている。なお、爪部２の形状、数についてはアーチワイヤを保持できる形態 であれば特別な限定はない。

【考案の効果】
以上説明したように本考案によれば、ブラケット本体を形状記憶合金又は形状 記憶樹脂で形成しているので、アーチワイヤと共にブラケット自ら矯正力を生成 しており、従来より効果的な矯正力が得られる。 また従来のタイウイングに代えて爪部を設けているので、ブラケットが小型化 できるし、更にはアーチワイヤを結紮しなくてもブラケットスロットに保持でき るので、結紮線の断端により手指を傷つける危険性が著しく減少する。

    ト。
