媒とする冷凍機等の潤滑剤として好適な潤滑油を開発す
ること。 【構成】 オキシエチレン単位およびオキシプロピレン
単位を有するポリグリコールのモノアルキルエーテル
(例えばモノブチルエーテル)を主成分とする1,1,
1,2−テトラフルオロエタン冷媒用潤滑油である。

Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【0001】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は1,1,1,2−テトラ
フルオロエタン冷媒用潤滑油に関し、詳しく特定のポリ
グリコールのモノアルキルエーテルを主成分とし、1,
1,1,2−テトラフルオロエタンを冷媒とする冷凍機
等の潤滑剤として好適な潤滑油に関する。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】従来か
ら、ポリグリコール系の化合物は、冷凍機等の潤滑油と
して利用されているが、冷媒、特に1,1,1,2−テ
トラフルオロエタン等の水素含有フロン冷媒との相溶性
が不充分である。また、比較的低粘度であるため開放型
冷凍機等では蒸発損失が多く、特に高速多気筒冷凍機に
おいては、油消費量が著しく多く実用性に欠けるもので
あった。そこで、本発明者は上記従来のポリグリコール
系化合物の欠点を解消し、冷凍機油等として好適な性状
を有するポリグリコール系化合物を開発すべく鋭意研究
を重ねた。

【課題を解決するための手段】その結果、オキシエチレ
ン単位およびオキシプロピレン単位を有するポリグリコ
ールのモノアルキルエーテルが、目的を達成できること
を見出した。本発明はこのような知見に基いて完成した
ものである。すなわち、本発明はオキシエチレン単位お
よびオキシプロピレン単位を有するポリグリコールのモ
ノアルキルエーテル(但し、アルキル基の炭素数は1〜
10である)を主成分とする1,1,1,2−テトラフ
ルオロエタン冷媒用潤滑油を提供するものである。
【0004】本発明の潤滑油は、オキシエチレン単位
(C2 4 O)およびオキシプロピレン単位(C3 6
O)を有するポリグリコールのモノアルキルエーテル、
つまり 一般式 R(C2 4 O)m (C3 6 O)n H ・・・(I) (式中、Rは炭素数1〜10のアルキル基を示し、mお
よびnはそれぞれオキシエチレン単位およびオキシプロ
ピレン単位の繰り返し数を示す。)で表されるポリグリ
コールのモノアルキルエーテルを主成分とするものであ
る。
【0005】なお、本発明の潤滑油は、このポリグリコ
ールのモノアルキルエーテルを主成分とするものである
が、必要に応じて摩耗防止剤,塩素捕捉剤,酸化防止
剤,金属不活性化剤,消泡剤等を適量配合することも有
効である。ここで、塩素捕捉剤としては各種のものがあ
るが、トリフェニルホスファイト,トリクレシルホスフ
ァイト等の亜リン酸エステル系化合物を好適なものとし
てあげることができ、これを0.001〜0.5重量%の割
合で添加すればよい。本発明の潤滑油は、1,1,1,
2−テトラフルオロエタン(フロン134a)を冷媒と
して用いる冷凍機,クーラー(特にカーエアコン),ヒ
ートポンプ等の潤滑剤として有効である。

【実施例】次に、本発明を実施例および比較例に基いて
さらに詳しく説明する。 実施例1および比較例1〜5 第1表に示す鉱油,アルキルベンゼンあるいはポリグリ
コールを試料として下記の方法にしたがってその性能評
価を行った。結果を第2表に示す。 フロン−22(モノクロロジフルオロメタン)との二層
分離温度 試料とフロン−22を2:8(重量)で混合し、二層に
分離する温度を測定した。 フロン−134aとの二層分離温度 試料とフロン−134aを2:8(重量)で混合し、二
層に分離する温度を低温側と高温側で測定した。 ファレックス焼付試験 ASTM D 3233に準拠し、焼付荷重(ポンド)
で評価した。 シールドチューブ試験 試料とフロン−22との2:1(重量)混合物を鉄,
銅,アルミニウムの触媒とともに、ガラス管に封入し、
175℃において720時間加熱後、その外観ならびに
析出物の有無を測定した。

【発明の効果】以上の如く、本発明の潤滑油は、1,
1,1,2−テトラフルオロエタン(フロン134a)
冷媒下での安定性が良好であって、二層分離温度が低
く、相溶性が良好である。特に、フロン−134a冷媒
に対する低温側の二層分離温度が低く、高温側の二層分
離温度が高いので、この種の冷媒を用いる冷凍機の潤滑
に有用である。したがって、本発明の潤滑油は、フロン
134aを冷媒として用いる冷凍機,クーラー(特にカ
ーエアコン),ヒートポンプ等の潤滑剤として有効に利
用される。

    用潤滑油。

    ブチル基である請求項1記載の潤滑油。
