Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 (1) 一端にステアリングホイールを固定するス
    テアリングシヤフトを挿通自在なステアリングコ
    ラムと、それぞれの内面が前記ステアリングコラ
    ムの軸方向に広がる１対の垂直壁部を有し、車体
    に固定自在な支持ブラケツトと、前記１対の垂直
    壁部の後端縁同士の間に掛け渡した状態で、前記
    支持ブラケツトに固設された支持板部材と、コラ
    ム軸方向に変形し易く、前記ステアリングコラム
    の外周面に固定され、前記支持板部材の前側に位
    置する変位支持板と、この変位支持板の端部と前
    記支持板部材とを結合する結合手段とから成る衝
    撃吸収式ステアリングコラム装置。 (2) 請求項１に於いて、結合手段が、支持ブラ
    ケツトに対するステアリングホイールの高さ位置
    を調節自在な高さ調節機構を構成しており、この
    高さ調節機構が、前記支持ブラケツトの支持板部
    材と変位支持板との一方の部材に形成された上下
    方向に長い長孔と、支持ブラケツトの支持板部材
    と変位支持板との他方の部材に固定された状態で
    、上記長孔を挿通した杆状部材と、この杆状部材
    に係合した状態で、前記他方の部材との間で前記
    一方の部材を挟持する挟持部材と、この挟持部材
    を前記一方の部材に向けて押圧する押圧手段とか
    ら構成される衝撃吸収式ステアリングコラム装置
    。
