【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、一方がエアバッグユニ
ットのハウジングに固定可能であり他方が車両側に固定
可能である平板材料からなる保持装置を使用した、自動
車のダッシュボード上部における助手席同乗者用エアバ
ッグユニットの取付け装置に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】このような装置は、すでにドイツ連邦共
和国特許出願公開第４０１６６８１号公報から知ること
ができる。
【０００３】このようなエアバッグが繰り広げられる過
程において、望ましくなく欠点となる２つの作用が生じ
る。先ず第１の段階において、繰り広げられるエアバッ
グが風除け板に接触するようになり、この接触によって
風除け板が破損する場合がある。さらに、その次の段階
において、繰り広げられるエアバッグの制動時に大きな
慣性力が生じ、この慣性力が、エアバッグ結合を介して
ハウジングに伝達され、モジュール結合に伝達される。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】したがって、本発明の
基本的な目的は、これらの欠点となる現象が抑止される
ように、助手席同乗者用エアバッグユニットの取付け装
置を構成することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】この目的は、本発明によ
れば、冒頭に記載の取付け装置において、平鋼からなる
保持装置が、ハウジングの底部の下に沿って通されてハ
ウジングと結合され、この保持装置が、ハウジングの両
側に突出し、ハウジングの側端部と、これから間隔を置
いて設けられた車両固定部における保持装置の取付け点
との間に、エネルギーを吸収する役割を行う変形可能な
橋絡部が形成され、この橋絡部によって、保持装置が、
負荷時に保持装置の縦軸のまわりの両方向に捩れるよう
にされることによって達成される。

【実施例】次に、図示の実施例によって本発明の対象を
一層詳細に説明する。
【０００７】図１に部分的に示された自動車３のダッシ
ュボード２の上部に、助手席同乗者用エアバッグユニッ
ト１が設けられている。車両へのその取付けには、平鋼
板からつくられた保持装置４が使用され、この保持装置
４は点５においてエアバッグユニット１のハウジング６
に螺着され、点７において車両に固定された構成要素（
図示せず）に螺着される。
【０００８】保持装置４は、繰り広げられたエアバッグ
ユニット１が風除け板８に接触したとき、エアバッグユ
ニット１が矢Ａの方向に若干旋回し、繰り広げられたエ
アバッグに制動がかけられたとき、矢Ｂの方向に旋回し
得るように、特別な構成にされている。
【０００９】しかも、保持装置４がハウジング６の両側
の車両横方向に突出し、取付け点５および７が車両横方
向に互いに間隔を置いて設けられ、保持装置４が、これ
らの取付け点の間に、エネルギーを吸収する役割を有す
る変形可能かつ捩り可能な橋絡領域９を形成し、この橋
絡領域９は、相応する負荷がエアバッグユニット１に加
えられたときに保持装置４が矢Ａおよび矢Ｂ（図２）の
方向に捩れるようにされている。
【００１０】保持装置４は、組込まれた状態における車
両側の取付け点がハウジング側の取付け点５より高くな
るように、橋絡領域９において、それぞれ一組の二重の
曲げ部１０、１１を有している。
【００１１】最後に、車両側の取付け点７が車両縦方向
に見てハウジング側の取付け点５に対して偏位するよう
に、保持装置４の構成および取付け点の配置が定められ
ている。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】　　一方がエアバッグユニットのハウジン
    グに固定可能であり他方が車両側に固定可能である平板
    材料からなる保持装置を使用した、自動車のダッシュボ
    ード上部における助手席同乗者用エアバッグユニットの
    取付け装置において、平鋼からなる保持装置（４）が、
    ハウジング（６）の底部の下に沿って通されてハウジン
    グ（６）と結合され、この保持装置（４）が、ハウジン
    グ（６）の両側に突出し、ハウジング（６）の側端部と
    、これから間隔を置いて設けられた車両固定部における
    保持装置（４）の取付け点（７）との間に、エネルギー
    を吸収する役割を行う変形可能な橋絡部（９）が形成さ
    れ、この橋絡部（９）によって、保持装置（４）が、負
    荷時に保持装置（４）の縦軸のまわりの両方向に捩れる
    ようにされることを特徴とする、自動車のダッシュボー
    ド上部における助手席同乗者用エアバッグユニットの取
    付け装置。
  2. 【請求項２】　　保持装置（４）の車両側の取付け点（
    ７）が、ハウジング側の取付け点（５）に対して車両縦
    方向に偏位するようにハウジング（６）の側方に突出す
    る保持装置（４）の部分において、保持装置（４）が延
    びることを特徴とする、請求項１記載の取付け装置。
  3. 【請求項３】　　保持装置（４）が、ハウジング（６）
    の側方に突出する保持装置（４）の部分に、組込まれた
    状態における車両側の取付け点（７）がハウジング側の
    取付け点（５）より高くなるような、それぞれ二重の曲
    げ部（１０、１１）を有することを特徴とする、請求項
    １記載の取付け装置。
  4. 【請求項４】　　保持装置（４）が、ハウジング（６）
    の下側の全長にわたって一体的に通して設けられること
    を特徴とする、請求項１ないし３のいずれかに記載の取
    付け装置
