  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 エンジンのリングギヤを駆動するべく電動機に
    連結されたピニオンギヤを支持する駆動軸と、前
    記駆動軸を軸支するケーシングと、前記エンジン
    にいんろう結合するべく前記駆動軸と同軸的に前
    記ケーシングに設けられた嵌合ボス部と、前記ケ
    ーシングの前記嵌合ボス部の基端側に設けられた
    取付用フランジ部と、前記駆動軸の軸線に直交す
    る平坦面をもつて前記取付用フランジ部に設けら
    れた固定用取付座面とを有するエンジン用始動装
    置に於て、 前記嵌合ボス部の基端と前記固定用取付座面と
    の間に前記軸線方向に段差が設けられていること
    を特徴とするエンジン用始動装置。
