しかしながら、上に述べたような従来の光学補償板製造
工程によれば、光学補償板の光学特性が、使用時間と共
に変化する傾向かある。常温の使用によってはさほどの
変化を示さないが、特に60°C程度以上の高温で保持

率の差Δnと、膜厚dの積であるΔndが増大する。

[課題を解決するための手段]
本発明の光学補償板の製造方法は、熱動塑性樹脂膜を加
熱、加圧して複屈折性を有する樹脂膜に加工する第1工
程と、第1工程後、樹脂の軟化点以上、融点以下の温度
範囲のアニール温度で、加工樹脂膜を約30分以」ニア
ニールする第2工程とを含む。

[実施例]
以下実施例に沿って本発明を説明する。
まず、従来の技術同様にオートクレーブ類により、光学
補償板を作成する。ガラス板等の透明基板2枚の間に熱
加塑性樹脂としてエチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体分子
間を金属イオンで架橋したアイオノマ樹脂を挾み、気密
で減圧排気可能な袋中に収容し、袋の内部を減圧排気し

内の温度、圧力を所望の値まで上昇させ、その後所定時
間−定に保持する。たとえば、100〜150℃、圧力

Claims (2)
- (1)、熱加塑性樹脂膜を加熱、加圧して複屈折性を有
する樹脂膜に加工する第1工程と、 前記第1工程後、前記樹脂の軟化点以上、融点以下の温
度範囲のアニール温度で、前記加工樹脂膜を約30分以
上アニールする第2工程とを含む光学補償板の製造方法
。 - (2)、請求項1記載の光学補償板の製造方法であって
、前記樹脂はエチレン−メタクリル酸共重合体分子間を
金属イオンで架橋したアイオノマ樹脂であり、前記アニ
ール温度は60〜100℃の温度である光学補償板の製
造方法。
