Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 自動車車体の外側に装着される機器に設置され
    て赤外線を投射する赤外発光ダイオードと、上記
    の機器に設置されて赤外線の反射光を受光して電
    気信号を発するフオトトランジスタと、上記電気
    信号の出力レベルが設定値以上になつたとき警報
    信号を出力する電気回路とよりなる車外物体の検
    知装置において、 前記の赤外発光ダイオードは複数個であり、 該複数個の赤外発光ダイオードの赤外線投射方
    向は、自動車車体の側方から斜後方の範囲に放射
    状に配設されており、 かつ、該複数個の赤外発光ダイオードの赤外線
    投射出力は、その投射方向が側方のものよりも後
    方寄りのものの方が順次に大きく設定されている
    ことを特徴とする、車外物体の検知装置。
