に対していずれも略直交するように配設し、該吸
気ポート側へ燃料を供給しうる燃料噴射弁を設け
、エンジン吸気行程時に上記の各吸気ポートから
該燃焼室に吸引される吸気により、ピストンの往
復動方向に流れるタンブル流を生じさせるように
構成された成層燃焼内燃エンジンにおいて、排気
を吸気通路側へ戻す排気還流通路をそなえ、該燃
料噴射弁の燃料噴射口近傍に、該排気還流通路を
通じて供給される排気還流ガスにより該燃料噴射
弁の燃料噴射方向を変更しうる排気還流ガスノズ
ルが設けられて、該排気還流ガスノズルからの排
気還流ガスの噴射態様により、該燃料噴射弁が、
上記の2つの吸気ポートの一方へ向け燃料を噴射
しうるとともに、上記の2つの吸気ポートのそれ
ぞれへ向け燃料を噴射しうるように構成されたこ
