Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ［産業上の利用分野］ 本発明はメタノールまたはエタノールなどのようなアル
コール系燃料を燃焼させるエンジン油の潤滑油組成物に
関する。
［従来技術］ ７７１／コール燃料を燃焼させるエンジン例えハメタノ
ールエンジンでは、ギ酸のようなアルコールの酸化物や
水が発生し易い。これらは、ブローバイガスとしてクラ
ンクケース内に混入し、腐食や錆が発生し易い。またこ
れらの極性物質はエンジン各部の摩耗の原因になる。し
たがってエンジン油内に混入するギ酸を速やかに中和し
、不活性化する必要がある。この目的のために、従来の
エンジン油には炭酸カルシウムで過塩基化した清浄剤が
使用されている。しかし従来の過塩基性清浄剤ではギ酸
の中和性能が不充分であり、また、従来の過塩基性清浄
剤は使用中に粗粒化する傾向があり、問題があった。さ
らに、耐摩耗性も不充分であった。
［発明が解決しようとする課題］ そこで本発明者等はこれらの問題を解決するため研究を
重ねた結果、アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩が優れた効果を
有することを見いだし、本発明を完成するに至った。
本発明は、従来の過塩基性清浄剤に比較して優れたギ酸
の中和性能および耐摩耗性を存し、かつ、使用中に粗粒
化する傾向のない過塩基性清浄剤を含有するアルコール
系燃料用エンジン油組成物を提供することを目的とする
。
［課題を解決する手段］ すなわち、本発明は、潤滑油基油に、必須成分として、
アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩を組成物全量、Ｍ準で０．　
０１．＝　１０１１′ｉ量％含ｆＫ　ｌぜ−しめｊ、二
ことを特徴とするアル］・−ル系燃３・・１用工ンンン
油組成物を提供するものである。
以ド、本発明の内容を３′、ｙ細１・゛説明する。、本
発明にお：Ｊる潤滑油２；１；油２゛シては、１．１に
限定されるもの一ζはなく、通常、コ、ンジソ油の刀、
油Ｊして用いられでいるものであれば１．鉱油、合成油
を問わず使用できる。鉱油とし°Ｃは、例えば、原油を
常りｔ蒸留おＪ、び減圧蒸留し２て得られた潤滑油留分
を、溶剤膜れき、溶剤抽出、水素化分解、溶剤膜ろう、
接触脱ろう、水素化精製、硫酸洗ン巾、白土処理等の精
製処理を適官糾ろ僑わ＋！、こ精製ｌ。
たパラフィン系、カフテン系などのｍｋ　ｉ’ｆ１．＋
が使用できる。また、合成油、＝　Ｌ、　Ｃは、例えば
、ポリα−オレノイ゛〆′（ボリゾブン、Ｊ−メクアン
レリｊ′ン１−デセンオリゴ！−など）、アルキルベン
ゼン、アルヤル少フタｌ／ン、ジエスデル（ジトリデシ
ルグルタＩ７−　ト、ジ２−エチルへ４ジルアジペート
、ジイソデシルアジベート、ジトリデシルｒジベート、
ン３，−ノプールへ、４−・〉ルセベタ−１・など）、
ポリオ−ル〕”べ“ノル（ｌす′Ｉチｌ」−ルノパシ２
ハフ；ｊ）７’　ＩＪ　ｌノー　ト、［・リメナ０−・
ルフ１コバ：ノベフル：ｌｌＨ老−　１・、ペンタユリ
スリ［・−ル２〜１ｆ−ル・＼キＶノゴ一一−・ト、〈
ンタ５」゛リスリトールベフルイネー）・など）、ポリ
：ＡーＩージノ′ルキレングリ：Ｉ−ル、ボリフ，−ル
ｊ・−チル、シリコーン油、パーソルオＩ：ｊアルキル
］ーデル副−が使用できる。これらの基油は単独でも、
２押収十組り合わせ？使用し乙もよい。これらの基油の
好まし５い動粘度は１．　Ｏ　ＯｏＣにおい′こ３へ・
２　０　ｃＳｔである，、本発明のアルカリ土類金属，
Ｊ、つ酸塩は、一般ｌ，（Ｍ　Ｏ・ｘＢ□０、１て表さ
れるものである。式中、Ｍはアルカリ土類金属原子を示
し，、Ｘは０，５−・３、０の正数を示１３、ン′ルカ
リ土類金属とｔ７ては、マグネシラノ・、、カルシウム
、バリウムなどがあげられるが、カルシウムが好ましい
。また、アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩の粒径は０，１μＩ
Ｉ＋以ド、好ましくは０．０５ｕｍ以］ζであるのが望
まし，い。このアルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩さしては、鈍
物４− を用いてもよいが、アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩で゛油溶
性金属塩を過塩基化させたもの（以ド、アルカリ土類金
属ホウ酸塩分散体とい・う）を用いでもよい。このアル
カリ土類金属ホウ酸塩分散体の，ＩＩｓ　　Ｋ２５０１
　　５．２．３による全塩基価は１００以上、好ましく
は、１７０以上であるのが望ましい。このアルカリ土類
金属ホウ酸塩分散体としては、油溶性のアルカリ土類金
属スルホネート、アルカリ土類金属サリシレ−１・、ア
ルカリ土類金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金属ホスボネ
ートなどの油溶性金属塩、アルカリ土類金属水酸化物ま
たは酸化物、ならびにホウ酸または無水ホウ酸を反応せ
しめて得られるものであ，って、油溶性金属塩としでは
、アルカリ土類金属サリシレートを用いるのが好ましい
，、アルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩分散体の製造法は任意で
あるが、例えば、−１−配油溶性金属塩、アルカリ土類
金属水酸化物または酸化物、ならびにホウ酸または無水
ホウ酸を水メタノール、：ｌ−タノール、プロパツール
、ブタノールなと゛のアルコ・−ル及びベンゼ／、ｌ−
）し丁−／、４シＩ／ンなとの垢釈溶剤の存在−ド？’
２０−２００’Ｃで２〜８時間Ｊヌ応さゼ、つぎに１．
　Ｏ　Ｏ〜・２００゛Ｃに加熱して水および必要に応じ
てアルコ−・ルおよび希釈溶剤を除去するこきにより得
られる。
これらの詳細な反応条件は、原料、反応物の量等に応じ
゛ζ適宜選択される。なお、製造法の詳細については、
例えば特開昭８０−１１ｅ［３８８号公報、同６　１−
２０４２９８月公報等に記載されている。、１−記方法
で製造されたアルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩分散体の粒径は
通常０．ｉｌ１ｍ以ド、全塩基価は通常１００以にとな
るので、好ましく用いられる。
このアルカリ土類金属ホウ酸塩の含有量は、組成物全量
基準で、０．０ｊ〜１０市量％、好まし。
くは０．０５〜３重］且％、さらにはＯ、０５〜・１重
ｈ１％であることが必要である。含有量が０．（１）１
重量％に満たない場合には、効果がなく、含有量が１０
市呈％を超λる場合には、硫酸灰が高くなり、好ましく
ない。
本発明の）′ルー１−ル系燃料川エンジン油組成物に対
して、さらにその優れた性能を亮めるため、必要に応じ
て公知の添加剤を使用することができる。この添加剤と
しては、たとえば、高級アルコール、高級脂肪酸、エス
テルなどの油性剤、ｌ−Ｕクレジルホスフェート、トリ
フェニルホスフェート、ジチオリン酸亜鉛、二硫化モリ
ブデン、ジチオリン酸モリブデン、ジチオカルバミン酸
モリブデンなどの極圧剤、摩擦低減剤、石油スルホネー
ト、ジノニルナフタレンスルホネートなどの績止め剤、
ベンゾトリアゾールなどの金属不活性化剤、アルカリ土
類金属スルホネート、アルカリ土類金属サリシレート、
アルカリ土類金属フェネート、アルカリ土類金属ホスホ
ネートなどの金属系清浄剤、こはく酸イミド、こはく酸
エステル、ベンジルアミンなどの無灰分散剤、シリコー
ンなどの消泡剤、ポリメタクリレート、ポリイソブチレ
ン、ポリスチレンなどの粘度指数向上剤、流動点降下剤
、フェノール系、アミン系、ジチオ燐酸亜鉛などの酸化
防止剤などが挙げられ、これらを単独または２種以」二
組み合わせて添加することができる。粘度指数向上剤の
含有量は通常１〜３０重量％、消泡剤の含有量は通常０
．０００５〜１重量％、金属不活性化剤の含有量は通常
０．００５〜１重量％、その他の添加剤の含有量は、そ
れぞれ通常０．１〜１５重量％（いずれも組成物全量基
準）である。
本発明のアルコール系燃料用エンジン油組成物は、メタ
ノール、エタノール、プロパツールまたはこれらの混合
物、ならびにこれらのアルコールとガソリン、灯油、軽
油などの石油系燃料との混合物でアルコール含有量が１
０容量％以上のものなどを燃料とする、スパーク点火式
あるいは圧縮点火式のエンジンに好ましく使用できる。
［実施例コ 以下、本発明の内容を実施例および比較例によりさらに
具体的に説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に同等限
定されるものではない。
本発明の組成物のギ酸中和性能を調べるため、精製鉱油
（ＳＡＥ３０．１０．０ｃＳｔ　０１００’Ｃ）にホウ
酸カルシウムで過塩基化した油溶性金属塩を所定量添加
したエンジン油組成物にギ酸を所定量投入し、３０秒後
のｐＨを調べた。その結果を第１表に示す。また比較の
ため、ホウ酸カルシウムのかわりに炭酸カルシウムで過
塩基化した油溶性金属塩を上記鉱油に配合したものにつ
いても同様の試験を行い、その結果も第１表に併記した
〜　およ　　　　、〜 本発明の組成物の耐摩耗性能を調べるため、精製鉱油（
ＳＡ、Ｅ　”１．０．４．３ｅＳｔ　Ｏ１，ＯＯｏＣ）
にホウ酸カルシウムで過塩基化した油溶性金属塩を２重
量％添加したボーンジン油糾成物につき高速４球試験（
条件：荷重３０Ｒｆ、回転数１２０Ｏｒｐｍ、試験時間
３０ｍＩｎ）を行った。その結果を第２表に示す。また
比較のため、ホ・り酸カルシラノ、のかわりに炭酸カル
シウムで過塩基化した油溶性金属塩を−１−記鉱油に同
量配合したもの（ごついても同様の試験を行い、その結
果も第２表に（ｊ１記した。
１１− 〜　ま５よ　　　　　〜 本発明の組成物の加水分解安定性を調べるため、精製鉱
油（ＳＡＥ　１０．４．３ｃＳｔ、　Ｏ１００°Ｃ）に
ホウ酸カルシウムで過塩基化した油溶性金属塩を１５重
量％添加したエンジン油組成物につきＡＳＴＭ　　Ｄ２
６１９に準拠して加水分解安定性試験を行った。ぞの結
果を第３表に示す。また比較のため、ホウ酸カルシウム
のかわりに炭酸カルシラノ・で過塩基化した油溶性金属
塩をＬ記鉱油に同量配合したものについても同様の試験
を行い、その結果も第３表に併記した。
［発明の効果コ 上記試験の結果から明らかなように、本発明のアルコー
ル系燃料用エンジン油組成物は、従来のアルコール系燃
料用エンジン油に比べてギ酸中和性、耐摩耗性、加水分
解安定性のいずれにおいても優れているものである。
