Abstract

PURPOSE:To stick a proper amt. of grease to the tip of a transfer head by sinking a ring which freely slidably inscribes the transfer head into the grease and scraping the grease sticking to the side face of the ring by lapping of the bore of the transfer head and the outside diameter of the ring. CONSTITUTION:The coating head which is vertically slidably loaded with the ring 15 in the transfer head 14 is first moved near to a grease tank 12 and only the ring 15 in the transfer head 14 is sunk into the grease tank 12 in a method of applying the grease to the sliding surface of very small mechanism parts. After the grease 13 is stuck to the outer side of the ring 15 in such a manner, the ring 15 is pulled up from the grease tank 12 and is further slid and pulled up into the transfer head 14 while the transfer head 14 is held at this height. The grease 13 on the outer side of the ring 15 is scraped by the tip of the transfer head 14 in this way and the proper amt. of the grease 13 simultaneously remains and sticks to the tip of the head 14.
