Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 (産業上の利用分野) この発明はポリエステルフィルムの熱接着装置に関する
(従来の技術) 従来ポリエステルフィルム製袋の製作などのためにポリ
エステルフィルムを2枚重ね合わせたものの端辺(被接
着辺)を熱接着する技術として、例えば特公昭58−3
8297号公報「ポリエステルフィルムの熱接着法」に
見られるように、2枚重ね合わせたポリエステルフィル
ム片Aを挟圧支持するための、一定長の挟圧支持板イ、
口を上下に設けたクランプ装置、挟圧支持板イ、口の外
方に突出する被接着辺aに所要の加熱を与えるための、
被接着辺a全長に相対して配置する一定温度の加熱体ハ
を接近させ、離反させる加熱装置とからなる熱接着装置
がある(第5図a、b)。
係る装置は、ポリエステルフィルム片Aの被接着辺aの
長さが挟圧支持板イ、口の長さ以上ある場合には直接に
は対処できず、従って対象となるポリエステルフィルム
片Aの大きさに制限があった。
またポリエステルフィルム片Aはクランプ装置に一回づ
つセットされ、そして加熱体ハは被接前辺aに対して接
近、離反作動なる反復作動を以って一熱接着処理が完了
されるものであるから連続した熱接着処理をすることが
できないなどの問題があった。
(この発明が解決しようとする問題点)この発明は連続
して熱接着することが可能であり、定尺のポリエステル
フィルム片は勿論、特に長尺で長さが一定しないポリエ
ステルフィルム片の熱接着を簡単且つ円滑に更に能率よ
くすることを目的とする。
(構 成) つぎにこの発明を、一実施態様を示す図面に基いて説明
する。
1.2はゴム類の無端ベルトを示し、その無端ベルト1
.2は上下に、゛それらの対向するベルト間で被接着ポ
リエステルフィルム片A(以下フィルム片Aという)を
挟圧支持することができるように非常に近接して配置さ
れている。
そして無端ベルト1.2は駆動ロール6.7の矢印で示
す所要方向の回転により対向するベルト面が同一方向に
一定速度で図中右側から左側へ走行し、ベルト面間に送
り込まれるフィルム片Aを挟圧支持しながら後述する加
熱手段5へ接近させ、離反させ接離手段3となっている
加熱手段5は、前述する接離手段3により挟圧支持され
るフィルム片Aの無端ベルト1.2外に突出する被接前
辺aに沿って略々有効ベルト長に相当する棒状の加熱体
4が配され、且加熱体4はその加熱面4aと被接前辺a
との間隔が加熱始め部分から加熱線り部分にかけて次第
に小さくなり、加熱線り部分では第2図に示すように見
掛は上加熱終り部分が被接前辺aに重なっていくように
傾斜させて設置されている。
このように加熱体4の加熱面4aは被接前辺aの収縮が
考慮されて被接前辺aに対して一定の距離関係を持って
いる。図面に示す実施態様では棒状の加熱体4を傾斜さ
せているが、無端ベルト1.2を斜めに走行させるよう
にしたり、棒状の加熱体4の加熱面4aを傾斜面に形成
する場合もある。
8は溶融融着後の被接前辺aを冷却する空気噴出手段を
示す。
加熱体4はニクロム線などの加温手段で常に一定の温度
になるように加温されており、その温度は加熱体4を被
接前辺aの極近傍に配置するときに被接前辺aに溶融が
始まる比較的低い温度に設定されている。そして加熱体
4はフィルム片Aの厚みの大小の違いによって適した形
状の加熱面4aのものが選択され、第4図a、b、c及
びdにその各種の断面形状のものを示し、同図中、dの
ものは厚手フィルムの場合に特に好ましい。
(作 用) 2枚重ね合わせたフィルム片Aを、その被接前辺aを無
端ベルトl、2外に所要幅突出するように接離手段3の
無端ベルト1.2のベルト面間に送′ り込み、無端ベ
ルト1.2の走行により挟圧支持されながら加熱手段5
の加熱体4に接近、通過していくと被接前辺aはその先
行部分から加熱される。この加熱により被接前辺aはそ
の先行部分から次第に溶融していき、この溶融により被
接前辺aには収縮が発生し、この収縮がフィルム片Aの
進行に従って大きくなっていくが、加熱体4の加熱面4
aの被接前辺aに対する間隔が加熱始め部分から加熱線
り部分にかけて次第に小さくなり、加熱線り部分では見
掛は上加熱終り部分が被接前辺aに重なっていくように
設定されているので、加熱始め部分から加熱線り部分に
かけての加熱体4の加熱面4aと被接前辺aとの間隔が
変わらず、従って被接前辺aの温度を低下させずに被接
前辺aの極近傍から一定の低温度での加熱がなされる。
これにより被接前辺aの溶着面(上、下フイルム片Aの
接合面)についての溶融速度を一定とし、溶融融着部の
最高温度も一定となる。
このようにして被接前辺aが加熱体4の加熱面4aに沿
って接触することなくその加熱線り部分まで通過してい
くことにより被接前辺aに適当幅の溶融融着部が形成さ
れるのである。そして被接前辺aは加熱体4から離反し
、その離反していく溶融融着した被接前辺aは空気噴出
手段8により急速に冷却されるのである。
このようにして溶融固化した被接前辺aには熱分解が起
こらず、断面均一に溶融融着されて接着力の大きい熱接
着が得られる。
(効 果) この発明ではフィルム片を無端ベルトのベルト面間に送
り込んでいく作業により連続的に熱接着処理がなされる
から、長さの一定しない長尺のフィルム片でも簡単且つ
円滑に、定尺のフィルム片を次々に間断なく能率よく熱
接着処理をすることができ、また被接前辺の収縮を考慮
しながら被接前辺の極近傍から一定の低温度の加熱での
上記熱接着ができるから熱劣化が生ぜず機械的強度が大
ぎい接着が得られ、そして作業性がよい等の効果を奏す
る。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 無端ベルト1、2を上下に、それらの対向するベルト面
    間で被接着ポリエステルフィルム片Aを挟圧支持可能に
    配置し、該両無端ベルト1、2の対向するベルト面を同
    一方向に移行するようにした接離手段3と、該接離手段
    3により挟持される被接着ポリエステルフィルム片Aの
    、無端ベルト1、2外に突出する被接着辺aに沿って略
    々有効ベルト長に相当する棒状加熱体4を設けた加熱手
    段5とからなり、その加熱手段5における棒状加熱体4
    の加熱面4aの被接着辺aに対する間隔が加熱始め部分
    から加熱終り部分にかけて次第に小さくなり、加熱終り
    部分では、見掛け上加熱終り部分が被接着辺aに重なっ
    ていくように設定されていることを特徴とするポリエス
    テルフィルムの熱接着装置。
