- 活性層を含む複数の半導体層を半導体基板上に
堆積してなるペレツトを前記活性層側の表面から
選択的にエツチングしてメサ状ストライプを形成
してなる端面発光型半導体発光装置において、前
記メサ状ストライプの出射面の反対側の端面と凹
部を挾んで対向して、表面が平坦なボンデイング
領域が設けられていることを特徴とする端面発光
型半導体発光装置。
