Description
<成形品の製造装置>
本実施の形態に係る成形品の製造装置1は、図1に示されているように、射出成形機2と、本実施の形態に係るヒータ装置3とから構成されている。後で説明するように、射出成形機2において一対の半成形品を成形し、これら一対の半成形品の接合端面をヒータ装置3によって溶融し、半成形品を圧着して成形品を得るようになっている。
本実施の形態に係る射出成形機2は型締装置5と射出装置6とから構成されている。型締装置5はベッドB上に固定されている固定盤8と、ベッドB上をスライドする型締ハウジング9と、ベッドB上を同様にスライドする可動盤11とを備えている。固定盤8と型締ハウジング9は複数本、例えば4本のタイバー12、12、…によって連結されている。可動盤11は、固定盤8と型締ハウジング9の間でスライド自在になっている。型締ハウジング9と可動盤11の間にはトグル機構からなる型締機構14が設けられている。なお型締機構14は直圧式の型締シリンダから構成してもよい。
本実施の形態に係るヒータ装置3は、図2に示されているように、射出成形機2の側方に設けられている。ヒータ装置3は、次に説明する本実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25と、この溶融用ヒータ25を水平に駆動する駆動機構26と、駆動機構26を支持している基台24とから概略構成されている。駆動機構26によって、溶融用ヒータ25を金型16方向に駆動したり、金型16から退避させたりできるようになっている。ヒータ装置3には溶融用ヒータ25に電力を供給する電力供給装置も設けられているが、図2においては図示が省略されている。
本実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25として、図3、4には本実施の第1の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Aが示されている。溶融用ヒータ25Aは、金属製の長方形状の枠体27と、カーボンヒータ、ハロゲンヒータ等からなり赤外線、遠赤外線を照射する複数本の直線状の要素ヒータ28、28、…と、2枚のガラス板30、30とから構成されている。複数本の要素ヒータ28、28、…は枠体27内に平行に配置され、全体が平板状のユニットになっている。そしてこれら複数本の要素ヒータ28、28、…を覆うように2枚のガラス板30、30が枠体27に設けられている。
本実施の形態に係る固定側金型16と可動側金型17とを説明する。図6に示されているように、固定側金型16は、その背面から射出装置6の射出ノズル23がタッチしており樹脂が射出されるようになっている。可動側金型17は、可動盤11に固定されている固定プレート17Aと、この固定プレート17Aに対してスライド自在に設けられているスライド金型17Bとから構成されている。スライド金型17Bはピストンシリンダユニット38によって上下にスライドされるようになっている。後で説明するように、スライド金型17Bは成形位置と、圧着位置とにスライドされることになる。
本実施の形態に係る成形品の製造装置1を使用して成形品を製造する方法を説明する。図6に示されているように、ピストンシリンダユニット38を駆動してスライド金型17Bを下方にスライドする。すなわち成形位置にする。型締装置5を駆動して型締めする。そうすると図7Aに示されているように、固定側金型16の第1の凹部40とスライド金型17Bの第2の凸部42とから、そして固定側金型16の第1の凸部41とスライド金型17Bの第2の凹部43とから、それぞれキャビティが構成される。次に、射出成形工程を実施する。つまり射出装置6から樹脂を射出する。そうすると、第1、2の半成形品45、46が成形される。
溶融用ヒータ25は色々な変形が可能である。図8には第2の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Bが示されている。この実施の形態においては、複数本の要素ヒータ28、28、…はペアにはなっておらず、互いに独立している。つまりこれらの要素ヒータ28、28、…それぞれ石英ガラス管33‘、33’、…に1本ずつ設けられている。このような要素ヒータ28、28、…は水平に設けられ、上下方向に等間隔に配置されている。
図9には第3の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Cが示されている。この実施の形態においては、2枚のガラス板30‘、30’に施されている表面加工は、板厚を部分的に変えて表面に凹凸を形成する凹凸加工からなる。具体的には、ガラス板30‘、30’には、凸部51、51、…と、凹部52、52が形成されている。このような凹凸加工が施されているので、要素ヒータ28、28、…から照射される赤外線は屈折する。すなわち、凸部51では集光され、凹部52では発散されることになる。これによって半成形品45、46(図7C参照)の接合端面45A、46Aを選択的に加熱することができる。
図10には第4の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Dが示されている。この実施の形態においては、要素ヒータ28、28、…は第1層と第2層の2層に配置されている。すなわち2層構造になっている。そして第1層の要素ヒータ28、28、…と第2層の要素ヒータ28、28、…の間には反射板55が設けられている。反射板55によって第1層の要素ヒータ28、28、…からの赤外線と、第2層の要素ヒータ28、28、…からの赤外線とを分離して、一方のガラス板30側と、他方のガラス板30側とに均等に照射することができる。なお、反射板55は必須ではなく、必要に応じて設けるようにすればよい。
図11には第5の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Eが示されている。この実施の形態も、第4の実施の形態と同様に、要素ヒータ28、28、…が2層構造に配置されている。この実施の形態においては、それぞれの石英ガラス管33、33には、一方の面にアルミ蒸着等により反射膜56、56、…が施されている。これによって第4の実施の形態における反射板55(図10参照)と同様の効果が得られる。
本実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25において、要素ヒータ28、28、…の配置の方向には制約はない。ヒータを斜め方向に配置したり、必要最小限の回数折り曲げた要素ヒータ28を一部、あるいは全体に配置したり、などの色々な変形が可能である。このような変形例として、図12、13には、第6の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25F、第7の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Gが示されている。
図14には、第8の実施の形態に係る溶融用ヒータ25Hが示されている。この実施の形態では、成形品の溶着部が両側部において一部横方向に張り出した形状になっている。溶着部の形状に合わせて枠体27、ガラス板30も横方向に張り出した形状になっている。この実施の形態においては、要素ヒータ28、28、…も設けられているが、横方向に張り出した部分に対応するように形状が変形された湾曲ヒータ58、58も採用されている。湾曲ヒータ58、58を採用することによって、複雑な溶着部の形状に対しても対応することができる。

Claims (15)
- 一対の半成形品のそれぞれの接合端面を溶融して接合し成形品を製造するときに前記接合端面を溶融させるための溶融用ヒータであって、
前記溶融用ヒータは、
平行に配置された2枚のガラス板と、
前記2枚のガラス板の間に全体として平板状のユニットに配置された複数本の要素ヒータと、を備え、
前記ガラス板には、前記接合端面の形状に合わせた表面加工が施され、前記複数本の要素ヒータから放射される赤外線をコントロールして前記接合端面を選択的に加熱して溶融すると共に他の部分の溶融を防止するようになっている、溶融用ヒータ。 - 前記複数本の要素ヒータのそれぞれは直線状になっており互いに平行に配置されている、請求項1に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記溶融用ヒータは、前記複数本の要素ヒータがそれぞれ水平に設けられている、請求項1または2に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記表面加工は赤外線を特定のパターンで遮光し、または減光し、あるいは散乱するマスキング処理である、請求項1~3のいずれかの項に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記表面加工は前記ガラス板の表面の凹凸により赤外線の屈折を調整して赤外線を集光し、あるいは発散させる凹凸加工である、請求項1~4のいずれかの項に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記複数本の要素ヒータは、個別に通電を制御することが可能になっている、請求項1~5のいずれかの項に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記複数本の要素ヒータは、隣接する2本が1組として直列に接続されており、組毎に通電される、請求項1~6のいずれかの項に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記溶融用ヒータは、前記複数本の要素ヒータのうち略半数の前記要素ヒータから平面状の1層目が形成され、残りの本数の前記要素ヒータから平面状の2層目が形成された、2層構造になっている、請求項1~7のいずれかの項に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記1層目と前記2層目の間には、赤外線を反射する反射部材が設けられている、請求項8に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 前記溶融用ヒータの前記複数本の要素ヒータには、それぞれ、前記1層目と前記2層目が対向する側の面において、赤外線を反射する表面処理が施されている、請求項8に記載の溶融用ヒータ。
- 平行に配置された2枚のガラス板と、
前記2枚のガラス板の間に全体として平板状のユニットに配置された複数本の要素ヒータと、を備えている溶融用ヒータを使用して、
一対の金型によって一対の半成形品を成形する射出成形工程と、
型開工程において一方の半成形品を一方の金型に、そして他方の半成形品を他方の金型にそれぞれ残す型開工程と、
前記一対の半成形品のそれぞれの接合端面を近づけて対向させる整合工程と、
前記一対の半成形品の接合端面間に前記溶融用ヒータを非接触的に挿入して接合端面を溶融する溶融工程と、
前記溶融用ヒータを退避させて型閉じして互いの接合端面を圧着する圧着工程と、を備え、
前記ガラス板には前記接合端面の形状に合わせた表面加工を施しておき、前記溶融工程において、前記複数本の要素ヒータから放射される赤外線をコントロールして前記接合端面を選択的に加熱して溶融すると共に他の部分の溶融を防止するようにする、成形品の製造方法。 - 前記溶融用ヒータは、前記複数本の要素ヒータのそれぞれが直線状になっており互いに平行に配置されている、請求項11に記載の成形品の製造方法。
- 前記溶融用ヒータは、前記複数本の要素ヒータがそれぞれ水平に設けられている、請求項11または12に記載の成形品の製造方法。
- 前記表面加工は赤外線を特定のパターンで遮光し、または減光し、あるいは散乱するマスキング処理である、請求項11~13のいずれかの項に記載の成形品の製造方法。
- 前記表面加工は前記ガラス板の表面の凹凸により赤外線の屈折を調整して赤外線を集光し、あるいは発散させる凹凸加工である、請求項11~14のいずれかの項に記載の成形品の製造方法。
