Description
(i) KR10-2017-0113066A(特許文献1)などによると、特にはスマートフォンなどのモバイル機器用の表示パネルにて、一方の端部の背面側に、カメラや光学センサなどを配置している。
そのため、特には精細度が非常に高い場合、ユーザーに、この段差が視認されてしまうという問題が生じるおそれがある。
また、特に、下記D1~D2とすることができる。
すなわち、例えば、通常領域(DA2)との境界の近傍にまで延びる1番目に長いもの、2番目に長いもの、及び、3番目に長いものを含む。
なお、低画素密度領域(DA1)に接する箇所にある、一つだけの画素省略部によっても、便宜上、最も短い枝が形成されているとすることができる(本願図3及び9~10)。
(1) 低画素密度領域(DA1)に最も近い領域(SA1)では、一の画素省略部に対して、その次の一の画素省略部が、1画素分だけデータ線方向(DR1)にずれるともに、1画素分だけ走査線方向(DR2)にずれることで、斜めに連続する。
(2) 低画素密度領域(DA1)に2番目に近い領域(SA2)では、一の画素省略部に対して、その次の一の画素省略部が、1画素分だけデータ線方向(DR1)にずれるともに、2画素分だけ走査線方向(DR2)にずれる。
(3) 低画素密度領域(DA1)に3番目に近い領域(SA3)、すなわち、通常領域(DA2)に接する領域では、一の画素省略部に対して、その次の一の画素省略部が、1画素分だけデータ線方向(DR1)にずれるともに、3画素分だけ走査線方向(DR2)にずれる。
このようにして、上記A2のように、画素密度が、通常領域(DA2)へと向かって徐々に、または、段階的に増大していくようにする。
また、移行領域(DA3)の背面側に、金属面など、光反射性の部材を配置しても支障がない。

- 基板と、
複数の画素をそれぞれ含む、第1表示領域、第2表示領域、及び、前記の第1表示領域と第2表示領域との間に位置する第3表示領域を含む表示パネルと、
前記基板と、前記表示パネルの前記第1表示領域との間に配置され、前記第1表示領域を通して外部の客体を検知するセンサと、を含み、
前記第1表示領域における第1画素密度は、前記第2表示領域における第2画素密度より小さく、
前記第3表示領域の画素密度は、前記第1画素密度より大きく、前記第2画素密度より小さく、
前記第3表示領域における画素密度は、前記第1表示領域の側から前記第2表示領域に近づくほど次第に増加し、
前記第1表示領域は、前記画素が配置される画素領域、及び、前記画素が配置されない透過領域を含む複数の画素行を含み、
前記画素行のそれぞれにて、既設定の第1間隔で、前記透過領域が配列されて位置し、
前記第3表示領域は、前記第1表示領域を取り囲むように配置され、
前記第3表示領域は、
前記第1表示領域を取り囲む一連の画素を含む第1サブ領域と、
前記第1サブ領域を取り囲む一連の画素を含む第2サブ領域と、を含み、
前記第1表示領域、前記第1サブ領域、及び前記第2サブ領域は、それぞれ、前記画素が配置される画素領域、及び、前記画素が配置されない透過領域を含み、
前記第1表示領域における、前記画素領域に対する前記透過領域の割合である第1割合が、前記第1サブ領域における、前記画素領域に対する前記透過領域の割合である第2割合より大きく、
前記第2割合が、前記第2サブ領域における、前記画素領域に対する前記透過領域の割合である第3割合より大きく、
前記第1サブ領域における前記透過領域は、前記第1表示領域との境界に沿って形成され、前記第2サブ領域における前記透過領域は、前記第1サブ領域との境界に沿って形成され、
前記第1サブ領域における前記透過領域の相互間の間隔が、前記第2サブ領域における前記透過領域の相互間の間隔より小さいことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第3表示領域は、前記第2サブ領域を取り囲む一連の画素を含む第3サブ領域をさらに含み、
前記第3サブ領域は、前記画素が配置される画素領域、及び、前記画素が配置されない透過領域を含み、前記第3サブ領域における、前記画素領域に対する前記透過領域の割合である第4割合が、前記第3割合よりちいさく、前記第3サブ領域における前記透過領域の相互間の間隔が、前記第2サブ領域における前記透過領域の相互間の間隔より大きいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。 - 基板と、
複数の画素をそれぞれ含む、第1表示領域、第2表示領域、及び、前記の第1表示領域と第2表示領域との間に位置する第3表示領域を含む表示パネルと、
前記基板と、前記表示パネルの前記第1表示領域との間に配置され、前記第1表示領域を通して外部の客体を検知するセンサと、を含み、
前記第1表示領域における第1画素密度は、前記第2表示領域における第2画素密度より小さく、
前記第3表示領域の画素密度は、前記第1画素密度より大きく、前記第2画素密度より小さく、
前記第3表示領域における画素密度は、前記第1表示領域の側から前記第2表示領域に近づくほど次第に増加し、
前記第1表示領域は、前記画素が配置される画素領域、及び、前記画素が配置されない透過領域を含む複数の画素行を含み、
前記画素行のそれぞれにて、既設定の第1間隔で、前記透過領域が配列されて位置し、
前記第3表示領域は、前記画素領域、及び、前記透過領域をそれぞれ含む第1~第k(但し、kは1より大きい自然数)サブ領域を含み、
前記第1サブ領域に含まれる画素行には、前記第1間隔より大きい第2間隔で、前記透過領域が配列されて位置し、
前記第kサブ領域に含まれる画素行には、前記第2間隔より大きい第3間隔で、前記透過領域が配列されて位置し、
前記第1サブ領域は前記第1表示領域に隣接し、前記第kサブ領域は前記第2表示領域に隣接しており、かつ、前記第1表示領域から前記第2表示領域へ向かう方向に沿って、前記第1~第kサブ領域がこの順に隣接して配置され、
前記第1サブ領域から前記第kサブ領域へと行くほど、第1方向における前記透過領域の相互間の間隔が増加することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記第1サブ領域から前記第kサブ領域へと行くほど、前記第1~第kサブ領域のそれぞれに含まれる前記画素の数が増加し、
前記第1表示領域、前記第2表示領域、及び前記第3表示領域についての前記第1方向における長さが、互いに同一であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。 - 同じ映像信号入力に対して、前記第1サブ領域の輝度が、前記第kサブ領域の輝度より低いことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記透過領域には、発光素子及びトランジスタが配置されないことを特徴とする請求項1または3に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1表示領域は、角を丸めた長方形もしくは正方形、または、円形もしくは楕円形であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
