Description
[1]下記成分(1)~(4)を含有してなることを特徴とする撥水性コーティング組成物を見出した。
(1)両末端にシラノール基を有する数平均分子量(Mn)が50,000~200,000のジメチルシリコーンポリマー
(2)3官能性シラン化合物の部分加水分解縮合物
(3)脂肪族系炭化水素溶媒に溶解可能な有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物
(4)溶剤
[2] 更に、上記[1]項に記載の本発明の撥水性コーティング組成物を用いたコーティング膜形成方法においては、繊維直径が1.0ミクロンmから7.5ミクロンm の長繊維からなる布を用いて展延させることを特徴とする撥水性コーティング膜の製造方法である。

(ここで、R1は炭素数1~3のアルキル基、またはアルケニル基、OR2は加水分解性基である)。
カラム:信和化学株式会社製ULBON HR-52(内径0.25mm、長さ30mL、膜厚0.25ミクロンm)、
キャリアーガス:ヘリウム、流量(線速度)30cm/sec.
カラム注入のスピリット比:30対1
注入口温度:200℃
カラム温度:40℃/5分hold→毎分10℃昇温→100℃
検出温度:200℃
検出器:FID
Bi(OOCR3)3 (B)
(但し、式中OOCR3は脂肪族カルボン酸、脂環族カルボン酸または芳香族カルボン酸のカルボン酸残基を表し、ヒドロキシ基を有していてもよい。)
ラン化合物や2官能性シラン化合物、さらには各種界面活性剤など、多くの添加可能な材料がある。
(1)両末端にシラノール基を有する数平均分子量(Mn)が50,000~200,000のジメチルシリコーンポリマー
(2)3官能性シラン化合物の部分加水分解縮合物
(3)脂肪族系炭化水素溶媒に溶解可能な有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物
(4)溶剤
(1)「両末端にシラノール基を有する数平均分子量(Mn)が50,000~200,
000のジメチルシリコーンポリマーと3官能性シラン化合物の部分加水分解縮合物と脂肪族系炭化水素溶媒に溶解可能な有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物からなる3次元架橋性組成物および溶剤を含んでなる溶液」からなる撥水性コーティング剤であって、各種基材の表面に、滑り性に優れ、耐候性や耐薬品性などの耐久性に優れた撥水性コーティング膜を形成することができる。
(a)撥水性
FACE社製“自動接触角計”CA-Z型を用いて、水の静止接触角(度)を測定し、その値を用いて撥水性とした。
(b)滑り性
コーティング塗膜表面を指、あるいは爪でひっかいた時の引っかかりの強さで評価した。
○:未処理品より、明らかに引っかかりが少なく滑り性が良好。
△:未処理品と同等レベルの引っかかりがある。
×:未処理品より強い引っかかりを感じる。
なお、○と△の中間レベルは、○~△と表示した。
(c)製膜性
以下に述べるテストピース基板に塗布した時のコーティング膜の均一性を肉眼にて評価した。
○:全く斑が認められない。
△:微少な斑が認められる。
×:明らかな斑の発生が認められる。
なお、○と△の中間レベルは、○~△と表示した。
(d)耐久性
南向き斜面上に一カ月間、屋外曝露した後の膜表面の水の静止接触角を測定し、その撥水性保持率(%)を求めた。保持率の高い塗膜ほど撥水性の耐久性に優れる。
(1)コーティング剤調整
参考実験例1:
回転子を備えた蓋つき容器に数平均分子量(Mn)が120,000の両末端にシラノール基を有するジメチルシリコーンポリマー(商品名: DMS-S51、GELEST Inc.製)、3官能性シラン化合物オリゴマー(商品名: KR-400N(25℃における粘度:0.9cps)、信越化学工業株式会社製)、有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物P-25(商品名:プキャット25、日本化学産業株式会社製)およびチタニウム化合物(商品名:D-20、信越化学工業株式会社製)とイソパラフィン系炭化水素溶剤(製品名:アイソパーE、沸点115℃~140℃(イソパラフィン系炭化水素)、エクソンモービル社製)をそれぞれ表1に記載した量を添加し、十分撹拌を行って塗料とした。
参考実験例2:
チタニウム化合物を(商品名:DX-175、信越化学工業株式会社製)に変える以外は全て参考実験例1と同様に行った。
(比較例1~比較例3,実施例1)
ブランクとして評価した未コート品を比較例1とし、比較例2として参考実験例1における有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物およびチタニウム化合物を添加しない組成物、比較例3として参考実験例1における有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物を添加しない組成物、実施例1として参考実験例1におけるチタニウム化合物を添加しない組成物について、それぞれ同様に行った。
厚さ0.1mmのブリキ板にプライマーとしてイサム塗料株式会社製のLVプラサフを施し、その後、中塗り塗料として同じくイサム塗料株式会社製のミラノ2K、さらにトップクリア層として、これもイサム塗料株式会社製のミラノ2KコモクリアNo.1を塗布して撥水性コーティング膜用の被塗装テストピース基板を作成した。
前記(2)の被塗装基板上に、スポンジにコーティング剤を含浸させて塗布した後、ポリエステル/ナイロン=80%/20%の分割型極細繊維織物からなるマイクロファイバータオル(丸野タオル株式会社製、マイクロファイバーグリーン色タオル、No.RO463-1-S)を用いて塗り斑のない状態に展延させたのち、一週間、解放状態で自然乾燥させて、コーティング膜を得た。
得られた塗膜の評価結果を表1に示す。本発明撥水性コーティング剤によって得られたコーティング膜は、製膜性に優れることから被塗装基板上に均一に塗布されており、さらには表1に示したとおり、非常に優れた撥水性、滑り性と耐久性に優れていることが明らかとなった(参考実験例1~参考実験例2、実施例1)。未処理の被塗装基板表面の静止接触角は95度であり、撥水性の無い表面であった(比較例1)。また、有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物およびチタニウム化合物を添加していない組成物から得られた膜は、未コート品とほぼ同等の表面状態であり、実質的に撥水性コーティング処理を施す効果は認められなかった(比較例2)。更には、有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物を添加していない組成物から得られる膜(比較例3)はコーティングの塗膜の均一性に乏しく、外観不良を有する膜となった。一方、チタニウム化合物を添加していない組成物から得られる膜(実施例1)は、耐久性が劣る傾向にあった。
Claims (2)
- 下記成分(1)~(4)を含有してなることを特徴とする撥水性コーティング組成物。
(1)両末端にシラノール基を有する数平均分子量(Mn)が50,000~200,000のジメチルシリコーンポリマー
(2)3官能性シラン化合物の部分加水分解縮合物
(3)脂肪族系炭化水素溶媒に溶解可能な有機カルボン酸ビスマス塩化合物
(4)溶剤 - 請求項1に記載の撥水性コーティング組成物を用いたコーティング膜形成方法において、繊維直径が1.0ミクロンmから7.5ミクロンm の長繊維からなる布を用いて展延させることを特徴とする撥水性コーティング膜の製造方法。
