Description
10~40mol%のZnOと、
20~40mol%のB2O3と、
25~65mol%のBi2O3、TeO2、若しくはPbO、又はこれらの混合物と、
0.1~15mol%のAl2O3と、を含む。
(a)前述の組成物と、
(b)分散媒と、を任意の順序で混合することを含む、ペーストの調製方法が記載されている。
(i)当該コーティングの少なくとも一部分上に、所望のパターンで前述のペーストを塗布する工程と、
(ii)当該ペーストを乾燥させて、当該所望のパターンの乾燥ペーストを形成する工程と、
(iii)当該乾燥ペーストを焼成して、当該所望のパターンのエナメルを形成する工程であって、当該エナメルが当該ガラス基板に直接結合される、工程と、を含む。
10~40mol%のZnOと、
20~40mol%のB2O3と、
25~65mol%のBi2O3、TeO2、若しくはPbO、又はこれらの混合物と、
0.1~15mol%のAl2O3と、を含む。
(i)10~40mol%のZnOと、
(ii)20~40mol%のB2O3と、
(iii)25~65mol%のBi2O3、TeO2、若しくはPbO、又はこれらの混合物と、
(iv)0.1~15mol%のAl2O3と、
(v)0~10mol%のLi2O、Na2O、及びK2Oから選択される1種以上の化合物と、
(vi)0~10mol%のMgO、CaO、SrO、及びSnO2から選択される1種以上の化合物と、
(vii)0~2mol%のCeO2と、
(viii)0~10mol%のSiO2と、
(ix)偶発的な不純物と、から本質的になる。
(i)20~25mol%のZnO(例えば、23.3mol%のZnO)と、
(ii)24~28mol%のB2O3(例えば、26.0mol%のB2O3)と、
(iii)40~45mol%のBi2O3(例えば、43.7mol%のBi2O3)と、
(iv)6.0~8.0mol%のAl2O3(例えば、7.0mol%のAl2O3)と、
(v)偶発的な不純物と、
から本質的になる。
(a)前述の組成物と、
(b)分散媒と、を任意の順序で混合することによって調製され得る。

(c)分散媒と、を任意の順序で混合することによって調製され得る。

(d)添加剤材料と、を任意の順序で混合することによって調製され得る。
(i)当該コーティングの少なくとも一部分上に、所望のパターンで前述のペーストを塗布する工程と、
(ii)当該ペーストを乾燥させて、当該所望のパターンの乾燥ペーストを形成する工程と、
(iii)当該乾燥ペーストを焼成して、当該所望のパターンのエナメルを形成する工程であって、当該エナメルが当該ガラス基板に直接結合される、工程と、を含む。
(iv)ガラス基板を曲げる工程を更に含む。
ガラスフリット及び焼結組成物を、市販の原材料を使用して調製した。
表1に、ガラスフリット組成物の実施例を示す。フリットの原料を混合し、電気キルン内のセラミック製るつぼ内で溶融させた。キルンを30℃/分の温度上昇で加熱し、850~950℃のピーク温度で15~20分間保持した。この時間経過後、ガラス溶融物が均質であることが認められ、その後、水で急冷した。次いで、ガラスフリットを乾燥庫内にて120℃で乾燥させた。乾燥後、ジェットミル(an Alpine-Hosokawa pico jet mill 40AFG)を使用して、D(50)=6~7μm及びD(90)=12~13μmの粒径まで粉砕した。
得られたペーストを、77Tスクリーンを使用し、厚さ6mmのコーティングされたガラスプレート(300×150×6mm)上に、湿潤層厚25~30μmでスクリーン印刷した。これらの試験で使用されるコーティングされたガラスプレートA、B、C及びDはそれぞれ市販のコーティングガラスである(A=ClimaGuard、B=SilverStar、C=SilverStar(Ag2層)、D=Sunguard SN)。これらのコーティングの各層構造(ガラス基板から始まる層の順序)は以下の通りである。
A:窒化ケイ素、酸化亜鉛、銀、ニッケル/クロム、酸化スズ酸化亜鉛、窒化ケイ素。
B:窒化ケイ素、酸化スズ、酸化亜鉛、銀、ニッケル/クロム、酸化亜鉛、窒化ケイ素。
C:Bと同様の順序であるが、酸化亜鉛、酸化スズ、酸化亜鉛の3つの層によって分離された2つの銀層を含む。
D:Aの順序の2倍。
得られたエナメルを評価して、以下の特性を決定した。
(i)エナメルがコーティングを完全に溶解するかどうか
コーティングされたガラス上の焼成エナメルの特徴は、焼成プロセスにおいて印刷(熱吸収性)領域及び非印刷(熱反射性)領域間の温度差が顕著なことである。この結果、印刷縁部はより低い温度を有し、従来のエナメルは、印刷縁部のコーティングを侵蝕することができないか、又は部分的にのみ侵蝕することができる。したがって、コーティングの完全な溶解は観察されない。
従来のエナメルは、粗表面若しくは気泡などの表面欠陥、又は金属光沢による着色反射を引き起こすことが多い。気泡の形成は、コーティングとエナメルとの間の反応が、焼成プロセス中に完了しなかったことを示す。粗表面は、反応が生じた後、エナメルが流動しすぎて滑らかな表面を形成できなかったことを示す。
L値を、X-Rite色彩計を用いて反射を除外して測定した。CIE L*a*b*表色系に従って、ガラス側から色(反転色(reverse colour))を測定する。本発明の用途に好ましい暗黒着色エナメルは、低いL値を示す。逆に、金属反射/干渉が観察されると、コーティングがまだ無傷で、適切に消失していないことを示す。
ODは、Gretag Macbeth D200-II透過濃度計を使用して計測され、好ましくは、ガラス板が建造物又は自動車に組み立てられるときに使用される下地接着剤を保護するために、99.9%(OD=3)の光吸収が必要とされる。しかしながら、表面が粗く多孔性である場合、ODは決定されなかった。
16Nの荷重を有するElcometer 3092引っ掻き光度計ペンスクラッチ用ペンを使用した耐引っ掻き性試験は、エナメルがガラス基板にどの程度強く接着しているかの指標である。コーティング層が消失しない場合、接着性は低い。引っ掻き試験は、エナメルとガラス基板との間の張力が高すぎる場合、又はエナメル表面が粗い場合にも失敗する。したがって、表面が粗い及び多孔質である場合、耐引っ掻き性は決定されなかった。
Claims (10)
- コーティングを有するガラス基板を加飾する方法であって、
(i)前記コーティングの少なくとも一部分上に、所望のパターンでペーストを塗布する工程と、
(ii)前記ペーストを乾燥させて、前記所望のパターンの乾燥ペーストを形成する工程と、
(iii)前記乾燥ペーストを焼成して、前記所望のパターンのエナメルを形成する工程であって、前記エナメルが前記ガラス基板に直接結合される、工程と、を含み、
前記ペーストは、分散媒中に分散された固形分を含み、前記固形分は、
(a)意図的に添加された
10~40mol%のZnOと、
20~40mol%のB2O3と、
35~65mol%のBi2O3と、
0.1~15mol%のAl2O3と、
0~2mol%のMgOと、
0~1mol%のSiO2と、
(b)偶発的な不純物と
を含む組成物を含み、
構成成分の総mol%は100mol%であり、
工程(iii)により、前記コーティングの前記部分が溶解する、方法。 - 前記組成物が、0.5~14mol%のAl2O3を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、20~30mol%のB2O3を含む、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が実質的にフッ素を含まない、かつ/又は実質的に鉛を含まない、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物が、0~2mol%のCeO2を更に含む、請求項1~4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物がガラスフリットである、請求項1~5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物のD90粒径が、5~20マイクロメートルである、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記組成物のD90粒径が1.0マイクロメートル以下である、請求項1~6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記固形分が顔料を更に含む、請求項1~8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記固形分が、前記固形分の総重量に基づいて、70~90重量%の前記組成物と、
10~30重量%の顔料と、を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。
