Description
Claims (20)
- データセンター内の複数のテナント間で共有される物理ネットワークを介してテナントの仮想ネットワークを実装する方法であって、
前記データセンター内の複数のホストコンピュータに関連付けられた複数の物理転送要素(複数のPFE)によって実装される論理転送要素(LFE)を定義することと、
前記LFEを実装するように前記複数のPFEを構成するために、前記複数のPFEにデータを分散することと、を備え、前記分散されたデータは、前記LFEのポートと特定のホストコンピュータに関連付けられた特定のPFEのポートとの間のマッピングを提供し、
前記複数のPFEは、前記分散されたデータと前記提供されたマッピングとを使用して、前記LFEに関連付けられたパケットを転送する、方法。 - 前記特定のPFEは第1のPFEであり、第2のPFEは、前記LFEの前記ポートを前記パケットの論理出力ポートとして識別し、前記論理出力ポートを前記第1のPFEのポートにマッピングし、前記特定のPFEへ前記パケットを転送する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記分散されたデータは、前記LFEのそれぞれのポートと、それぞれのホストコンピュータに関連付けられたそれぞれのPFEとの間の複数のマッピングを提供する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のPFEは、前記データセンター内の他のテナントのマシンから第1のテナントのマシンを隔離しながら、前記第1のテナントのマシン間のパケットを処理するために前記LFEを実装する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のPFEは、各テナントのマシンを他のテナントから隔離しながら、複数のテナントのマシン間のパケットを処理するために他のLFEを実装する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記LFEの前記ポートは前記LFEの第1のポートであり、前記特定のPFEの前記ポートは第1のPFEのポートであり、
前記第1のPFEは、前記分散されたデータを使用して、前記LFEの第2のポートを前記パケットの論理出力ポートとして識別し、前記識別された論理出力ポートを、前記LFEも実装する第2のPFEのポートにマッピングすることによって、前記第1のテナントのマシンから受信したパケットを転送する、請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記第1のPFEは、前記識別された論理出力ポートを物理的な次のホップアドレスにマッピングすることによって、前記識別された論理出力ポートを前記第2のPFEの前記ポートにマッピングし、前記第1のPFEは、前記パケットを前記物理的な次のホップアドレスでカプセル化し、前記第1のPFEの前記ポートから前記パケットを転送する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記物理的な次のホップアドレスは、前記第2のPFEの前記ポートに関連付けられる、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第1のテナントの前記マシンは、前記第1のPFEと同じホストコンピュータ上で動作する、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 前記複数のPFEは、前記LFEに関連付けられたマシンから受信したパケットに対する論理転送判断を実行することによって、前記LFEに関連付けられたパケットを転送する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記論理転送判断は、論理スイッチのL2ルックアップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記論理転送判断は、論理ルーターのL3ルックアップを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記LFEに関連付けられた前記マシンは、複数の仮想マシンを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記方法がネットワークハイパーバイザによって実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記PFEは、1つまたは複数の仮想スイッチを備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記LFEは第1のLFEであり、前記複数のPFEは第1の複数のPFEであり、前記複数のホストコンピュータは第1の複数のホストコンピュータであり、前記特定のPFEは第1のホストコンピュータに関連付けられた第1のPFEであり、前記方法はさらに、
前記データセンター内の第2の複数のホストコンピュータに関連付けられる第2の複数のPFEによって実装される第2のLFEを定義することと、
前記第2のLFEを実装するように前記第2の複数のSFEを構成するために、前記第2の複数のPFEにデータを分散することと、を備え、ここで、前記第2の複数のPFEに分散された前記データは、前記第2のLFEのポートと、前記第2のLFEのポート第2のホストコンピュータと関連する第2のSFEのポートとの間のマッピングを提供し、
前記第2の複数のPFEは、前記分散されたデータと前記提供されたマッピングとを使用して、前記第2のLFEに関連付けられたパケットを転送する、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第2の複数のPFEは、前記第1の複数のPFEと一部が重複する、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの処理ユニットによって実行されると、請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行するプログラムを格納するマシン可読媒体。
- 少なくとも1つの処理ユニットによって実行されると、請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実施するコンピュータプログラム。
- 処理ユニットのセットと、
前記処理ユニットのうちの少なくとも1つによって実行されると、請求項1から17のいずれか一項に記載の方法を実行するプログラムを格納するマシン可読媒体と、を備えるコンピューティングデバイス。
