Description

The present invention provides a composition for wearing dentures that is excellent in providing a feeling of wearing (cushion feeling) and a feeling of close contact when wearing dentures in the oral cavity, and is effective in improving discomfort when wearing dentures, and a composition using the same. Regarding how to wear dentures.

In recent years, as the number of remaining teeth has increased, the number of people wearing partial dentures has increased, and about one in three elderly people aged 65 and over wear partial dentures.
A denture has an artificial tooth and a denture base, and the denture base comes into direct contact with the mucous membrane of the gums when the denture is worn, so the fit of the denture is important. The ease of wearing a denture is greatly influenced by the environment in the oral cavity. For example, if the oral cavity is moist with saliva, the adhesion between the denture base and the subfloor mucosa where it is attached will increase, making it easier to wear the denture. The pain and discomfort will be alleviated to some extent.
By the way, with partial dentures, it is recommended to remove the dentures while sleeping in order to reduce the load on the alveolar ridge (the part of the gums where the dentures are attached). However, when wearing a partial denture in the morning, saliva secretion may not be sufficient, and the denture base does not fit well, causing pain and discomfort, which can easily cause problems. There was a desire to develop a new care product that would be effective in reducing the discomfort experienced when wearing dentures.

There are denture stabilizers as products used when wearing dentures, and Patent Documents 1 to 8 propose non-aqueous denture stabilizers and water-soluble paste-like denture stabilizers, but mainly non-aqueous denture stabilizers are used. Denture adhesives are used to fill the gap between the denture base and the site where the denture is attached, allowing dentures that don't fit well and become easy to fall off to stick together, and for complete dentures to prevent objects from getting into the gap between the denture and the alveolar ridge during meals. They are often used, but they are not sufficiently effective in alleviating the discomfort felt when wearing dentures, require strong force to remove dentures, and are difficult to remove from the denture base. there were.

The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and provides a denture-wearing composition that is excellent in providing a feeling of wearing (cushion) and a feeling of close contact when wearing a denture in the oral cavity, and is effective in improving the feeling of wearing a denture. This invention relates to a denture attachment method using.

As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above object, the present inventors have found that a water-soluble polymer substance, one or more selected from polyhydric alcohols and sugar alcohols, and water are blended, and the viscosity is within a specific range. A water-based denture wearing composition is applied, for example, to the surface of the denture base of a denture (a denture having an artificial tooth and a denture base) before it is installed in the oral cavity, especially a partial denture, and the denture is attached to the jaw of the attachment site. When attached to the ridge (the gum area where the denture is attached), the feeling of wearing the denture (cushioned feeling) increases, the feeling of close contact with the denture increases, and the said close feeling continues over time. It has been found that even when the denture is being worn, the denture does not feel sticky or slimy and has a good feeling of use, and even if it remains after the denture is removed from the denture, it is easy to remove from the denture and has good usability. That is, according to the present invention, it contains (A) a water-soluble polymeric substance, (B) one or more selected from di- to tetravalent polyhydric alcohols and sugar alcohols, and (C) water. A denture-wearing composition having a viscosity of 20,000 to 150,000 mPa·s at 25°C is effective in imparting a feeling of wearing (cushion) and a feeling of close contact when wearing a denture, especially a partial denture, in the oral cavity. The inventors have found that the composition is excellent, and also has a good feeling of use (no stickiness or sliminess) and good removability (ease of removal) from dentures, leading to the development of the present invention.
In this specification, "when worn" is used mainly for a relatively short period from the time of the wearing operation to immediately after the wearing, and "during wearing" is used to mean the period while being worn.

In the present invention, by using components (A) and (B) together and blending them into a water-soluble composition containing component (C), the above effects are specifically achieved when the viscosity of the composition is within a specific range. . As a result, even if the water-soluble composition contains components (A), (B), and (C), special properties that cannot be obtained if the viscosity of the composition is too low or too high are obtained. Effects can be added. According to the composition for wearing dentures of the present invention, it ensures a feeling of use without stickiness and sliminess immediately after wearing the denture and while it is being worn, and ease of removal from the denture after it has been removed from the wearing site. , it is possible to provide a moderately high and comfortable cushioning feeling and close contact feeling, and to maintain the close contact feeling for a long time even while wearing the denture. Therefore, this composition for wearing dentures can reduce discomfort, pain, etc. when wearing partial dentures, and can be used to improve the feeling of wearing dentures.
As shown in the Comparative Examples below, even though components (A) and (B) are blended, the viscosity of the composition is too low in Comparative Example 2. Comparative Example 3, in which the composition had poor viscosity and too high viscosity, had poor cushioning feeling when wearing dentures, poor usability (lack of stickiness and sliminess), and was difficult to remove from dentures. On the other hand, a denture wearing composition containing components (A) and (B) of the present invention shown in Examples and having a viscosity within a specific range at 25°C has a feeling of wearing (cushioning feeling) when wearing a denture. ) and the adhesion of the dentures were excellent, and the feeling of use (no stickiness or sliminess) and removability from the dentures (ease of removal) were also good.

The denture wearing composition of the present invention has a viscosity at 25° C. of 20,000 to 150,000 mPa·s, preferably 30,000 to 130,000 mPa·s, particularly preferably 50,000 to 130 mPa·s. ,000 mPa·s. If the viscosity is less than 20,000 mPa·s, the cushioning feeling when wearing the denture and the sustainability of the feeling of adhesion of the denture are insufficient and inferior. If it exceeds 150,000 mPa·s, the stickiness and sliminess during wearing of the denture will become too strong, resulting in a poor feeling of use and making it difficult to remove from the denture.
The viscosity of the above composition was measured using a rotational viscometer (BM type viscometer, manufactured by Toki Sangyo Co., Ltd., model: VISCOMETER TVB-10, rotation speed 20 rpm, measurement time 3 minutes, rotor No. H5, H6, H7). (use the appropriate type) (the same applies below).

The composition for wearing dentures of the present invention is preferably applied to a denture base before wearing a denture, particularly immediately before wearing it. As for the method of applying it to the denture, a method of spreading it directly onto the surface of the denture base can be adopted. Specifically, an appropriate amount of the denture-wearing composition is taken out of the container, placed on the denture base, and adhered to the denture base, and when the denture is worn, the composition is sandwiched between the denture and the attachment point, and is evenly spread over the denture base surface. It spreads out, allowing you to wear your dentures smoothly. It is preferable that the denture with the denture-wearing composition applied to the denture base be immediately mounted on the mounting site in the oral cavity.
While wearing a denture to which a denture-wearing composition has been applied, it is also possible to remove the denture, reapply the denture-wearing composition to the denture base of the denture, and then put it on again. Reattachment is more effective in improving wearability.
In addition, the denture fitted using the denture fitting composition of the present invention can be easily removed from the mounting site.
Furthermore, when the applied denture is removed and cleaned, the denture wearing composition of the present invention can be quickly removed from the denture base by simply rubbing lightly with the hand under running water, and can be thoroughly washed off without leaving any residue. Easily removable.
The denture may be either a partial denture or a complete denture, but the composition for wearing a denture of the present invention is particularly suitable for improving the fit of a partial denture, and is preferably used for a partial denture.
The amount of the denture wearing composition to be used on the denture (denture base) is preferably about 0.05 to 0.3 g per denture.
