Description
実施例1に係る密封装置1は、図1に示すように、図示しないエンジンのエンジンヘッドに取り付けられている点火プラグの周囲を覆う柱状の内側部材101(例えば、プラグチューブ)と、内側部材101の径方向外側に配置される外側部材102(例えば、エンジンのヘッドカバー)との間の環状の隙間を密封する部材である。密封装置1は、本実施例ではプラグチューブシールとして用いている場合を例示するが、インジェクターポンプシール等他の用途で用いてもよい。密封装置1は、弾性体部2と、補強環3と、ばね部材4とで主に構成されている。

Claims (2)
- 内側部材と外側部材との間の環状の隙間を密封する弾性体部を備える密封装置であって、
前記弾性体部は、
前記隙間に配置される環状の本体部と、
前記本体部の密封対象側から延設され、前記内側部材に接触するシールリップ部と、
前記本体部の反密封対象側の端部から外側に延設され、密封対象側の面が前記外側部材に接触するフランジ部と、
前記本体部の反密封対象側の端部から密封対象側から離間する方向に延設されたサイドリップ部と、
前記フランジ部の反密封対象側の面に周方向に亘って形成された突起部と、を有し、
前記突起部は、前記サイドリップ部の表面が相手部材によって押圧されることにより当該サイドリップ部の先端側が径外方向に傾倒されても当該サイドリップ部と干渉しない位置に形成されるとともに、相手部材に弾性的に当接して所望の面圧を生じシール性を確保することを特徴とする密封装置。 - 前記突起部の断面形状は、先細り形状であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の密封装置。
